Don't think they'd give Bassnectar a LN Which. I'd expect Bassnectar LN Tent friday, Pretty Lights LN Which Saturday.
Nectar would get the Which over PL every time. If Bassnectar is added he could only play on Friday regardless.
Agreed. If Bassnectar plays Friday, I think it'd be most likely that they would split up him and Pretty Lights. PL would play Saturday, so that way they'd have two big-name EDM nights on the two biggest nights of the festival, as opposed to having a BN into PL back-to-back set. I also think that a Friday night of Macca-BN-PL would just be too insane to have at the front end of the festival.
"BassLights" was the name of their co-headlining tour. I don't believe they did any collaborations, just switched out closing from night to night.
Cool, thanks. I knew there was discussion of it but there may have been people who didn't know like me who assumed that meant a duo show instead of just a tour.
Have they ever had two late-night acts on the Which?
I don't think so but could see them doing it this year. They've tinkered with the Which Late Night thing since I started attending so each year won't exactly be the same as the last.
Have they ever had two late-night acts on the Which?
No there hasn't been ever in the history of Bonnaroo. If the promoters do have Bassnectar booked I can very well see this as a big announcement tied in to playing with Pretty Lights on the Which Stage. This makes the most sense if they have Bjork headlining one of the late nights.

I am thinking they will do Bassnectar/Pretty Lights on Friday LN Which and Bjrok LN What Saturday.
Does anybody else think its weird Atoms for Peace are nowhere to be found in the festival circuit so far? Amok is friggin awesome..but i guess if we didn't get it last year its probably not gonna happen.
I read in an interview of Thom Yorke (don't remember which one)where he said that AfP won't be ready to perform by Glastonbury. Since that is at the end of June, that means that they definitely won't be ready by Roo. As much as I would love to see them there, it won't happen.
And I don't understand why people had any expectation for AfP to happen last year. The album wasn't done, they had done absolutely no rehearsing, and they were in the middle of touring with their own bands. There was literally 0 chance it was going to happen last year.

He should be on a stage, Bassnectar's LN set in 2011 was the biggest crowd I've ever seen in a tent. The crowd was all the way back to the fountain from This.
To be honest, it was a safety concern. I was volunteering on the handicap access/VIP deck and we had to pull a kid that was seizing out of the crowd. It took the medics 30 minutes to fight through the crowd because it was so densely packed.
I found a pic I took, from just before the show, where you can see just how big it was. I was standing on the deck at the very back of things. i.imgur.com/qIJODvv.jpg

Bassnecter is too big for a tent. This may have been thrown out above bug I think he's the first Thursday Which act.
Edit: I see that someone mentioned this only a few posts above me. I think it just makes sense. I see them making it as a joint announcement, the addition of BN and that he'll be on Which Thursday.

I didnt realize he had gotten that popular. He has been coming through KC multiple times a year for a long time. I would much rather see PL than Bassnectar. PL stage setup alone makes his show better and I prefer his music as well.
Turtles are, actually quite sexy, if you think about it. I’m getting an erection just thinking about turtles. No, not a stripper named turtles, that’s not funny. Actual turtles.

He headlined Forecastle and his latest tour I believe he's doing two shows in each city and they're going for $50+.

People have been saying this for years. As far as I'm concerned, the first Thursday Which act will be Daft Punk.
This is the first message board I've ever been on, the only reason I joined is because I love Bonnaroo and wanted to read and talk about it all year long.
Is there a specific reason they haven't opened up What/Which in the past? Is it just that Thursday is kind of a warm up or is there something more?
The Cliff's Notes version: Capps said that they never meant for Thursday to really be a thing. They just put a couple of unannounced cover bands on one year and it's snowballed over the years. They don't want to make Thursday a full-blown thing because then it will lead to bands on Wednesday and eventually they are a week-long festival.

This. When we sat down with ACEnt at Moog we discussed this and they said that very thing. Basically they understand that not everyone can take both Thur-Fri off of school/work and they dont want to put an act on Thur that a huge majority of people would be upset about missing. That and its quite expensive to operate the two stages, so why open the Which Stage for just 1 or 2 acts on one day.
Well after every Thursday show I wanted to see was completely packed out last year, It would be really great if they could open the Which stage up. Wishful thinking I know.
