Please, Please Please --- I'm still holding out for Vampire Weekend. There's a gap in their schedule. They were the band that got me into indie all those years back when I didn't even know what the indie and alternative music scene was.
I'm pretty sure there was a pretty big list of Café adds last year. Does anybody know how many artists there were overall on the lineup last year? I did a quick count of 160 with the new adds for this year
The announcement from last year was
Art Vs. Science By Lightning! Caitlin Rose Cat Martino Chappo Cherub Chuck Mead Clare & The Reasons Cosmic Suckerpunch Deep Dark Woods Fly Golden Eagle Glossary Hey Rosetta! Honey Island Swamp Band James Wallace and The Naked Light Jukebox the Ghost Katie Herzig LP Machines Are People Too Marina Orchestra Matt Sucich MonstrO Oberhofer Paladino Pujol Rollin’ in the Hay Robert Ellis Robert Francis Rubblebucket Shahidah Omar Sister Sparrow & The Dirty Birds Tauk The Main Squeeze The Silent Comedy The Staves The Stooges Brass Band Trixie Whitley Valient Thorr Water Knot We Are Augustines Wild Cub Yuna

Hahaha! Well let's see, I was technically 13 going on 14 then, haha. All I had been exposed to was Top 40 and classic rock. Which was awesome, don't get me wrong, but I had a feeling there was something more out there and thus I discovered them in a record score. I know the entire scenario is cheesy, but eh, It's the truth.
ß??????? 2012,2013
Firefly 2012
Kentucky Derby Concert Fest 09, 10, 11
Spring Out 2012
Twins of Evil Tour (Marilyn Manson/Rob Zombie) 2012
It's music that brings the people together. <3

For those who are interested, I've made a Spotify playlist of the cafe acts. It's generally their most recent album/EP, but sometimes I used "Top Hits" or an older album with cooler artwork or whatever. That part is pretty random. It's alphabetical by artist, as on the site, except with Peanut Butter Lovesicle at the top since I was listening to them when I started it. I know that some are missing, but some of the bands don't have Spotify, so blame them- not me.

"all those years back"...........in 2008
that officially make me feel REALLY old.
This! I was just thinking Nirvana, Pearl Jam, STP, Alice in Chains, Soundgarden, R.E.M., etc. turned me on to the 'alternative' music scene when I was in my early teens...I feel really old now!

Still disappointed that I discovered Chappo and Pujol just after Roo last year. Would love to have seen them both.

Casey Crescenzo is from THE DEAR HUNTER. Not DEERHUNTER, everyone. It was stated further back in the thread, but I feel like there are people not going back through previous pages because of how fast this thread is moving. Carry on!
This is all so funny. The Capp Dogg and co. officially give zero f*cks. "Who do you want to see added? Well, tough sh*t, because the Capp Dogg hates you more than you know! ENJOY THE CAFE, YOU FILTHY MONGRELS."
This would have been funnier under the Ashley Capps username.
In all honesty, out of that list there are MAYBE three acts that can play outside of the cafe (Capital Cities, Kacey Musgrave, Maps and Atlases). Look for more ads.
Side note: Who wants to go see Peanut Butter Lovesicle with me?

Is Mac Demarco really a cafe act? I guess I thought he was bigger than he is.
