Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
I did, thank you for the tip!! I really liked the size of it and the reviews are great. Hoping it comes tomorrow so I can take it out in the yard and enjoy some of the 55 degree weather we're supposed to be getting (before it snows again next week....SIGH).
Awesome! Well let us know what you think. I haven't ordered mine yet but its gunna happen.
OK, this thing IS AWESOME. Seriously might be my favorite thing in our car camp kit now. Highly recommend it, I can't believe it was so cheap!! It is a little heavy to be 'portable' but it does come with a nice carry bag. I just wouldn't want to hike a mile with it. But for car camping its perfect.
My most worthwhile purchase for Bonnaroo last year was this thing: www.themoonmat.com/ Talk about concert comfort. Oh my goodness.
I've seen a few people rave about these things...but what do you use them for? To sleep on or to stand on in Centeroo? I have bum knees and a bad back so if it works to offset pain from standing I might grab one...

In related news, I picked up a Coleman double burner stove at a garage sale for $20. It looks to be in perfect condition, except someone used it as a surface to spray paint something, so the top is painted white. I guess I'll be cooking at camp after all (or at least boiling water for coffee and ramen).
Agreed! I leave my good multitool at home for Roo, but I've got a cheap one I picked up at the dollar store. Ended up actually using it to fix someones EZ Up, and then passing it around the camp because people needed it for something.

To be honest I used mine for absolutely everything. To sleep on, to stand at concerts, to sit on at concerts, and if you put a blanket over top, it sometimes makes it even more comfortable. It's like those foam earplugs but an entire mat made of the stuff. They have a booth at Roo usually but they also sell them online. Well worth the price for me. We took it everywhere afterward. Camping, Firefly, Wherever we could take it, it went.

Totally frivolous, BUT, our jumper cables went missing and this was really only another $50 more than cables and it does so much more. OMG I love it. No more wasting gas at Roo charging my phone. No more worrying about a jumpstart. Reviews on the tire pump are shizzy but any multi-use tool is going to have one part that fails, I figure.
I also got this a while back when our glass French press bit the dust. I wish the plastic parts were metal, but we use it weekly and it seems to hold up just fine, and will undoubtedly improve my Roo mornings:

Turtles are, actually quite sexy, if you think about it. I’m getting an erection just thinking about turtles. No, not a stripper named turtles, that’s not funny. Actual turtles.

I finally decided to get a cot. I just got tired of the air mattress I had deflating and was not getting a very comfortable sleep from it. I did some research here on the board and a member has been recommending this same one for 6 years now. It has to be comfy and durable.
Last time I was able to charge from my car's cigarette lighter without starting the engine (I would still give it a go for a few minutes at time just to make sure it could still start).
But my current car won't let me do that and I don't want to waste time charging phones and what not.
This will only be our second Roo, but we stepped up our camping game significantly. Also, being in our 40s, comfort is important, and we are fortunately able to afford a little better than we could have in our 20s. New for this trip:
*Tommy Bahama backpack chairs that fully recline, come with small pillow and two pouches in back, including an insulated one.
*Cots
*Portable grill
*Solar-powered LED string lights
*Additional 5-day cooler
*Shower bags - we'll just lay them on top of our truck.
I feel like I might be adding that Coleman battery charger to my list now...and I'm also very intrigued by the butterfly chair, although I cannot for the life of me envision how I am supposed to stay upright in something with only two legs! Is there like...some trick to it that I'm missing?
I got one of those car jumper batterys that has a few usb ports on it. It works great and recharges through a wall outlet. It charged 5 iphones all weekend for the last two years. It was also only 50 bucks at walmart and has the jumper cables and an air compressor!

Two things new for this year:
1) An airswimmer shark balloon. Remote controlled that you can fly around the campsite and for people to trip out on. My friend has one and it's awesome
2) A new GoPro camera so I can make a cool video like this one from Coachella **bonus, can I somehow attach the GoPro to the remote controlled shark balloon??

Yeah. Just get the GoPro Shark Balloon Attachment mount!
I will say that I was going to buy one of the GoPro Hero 3 series and all of the amazon reviews were full of nightmares. I'm waiting until the Hero 4 if I ever get a GoPro.
Inside that cooler is a queen air mattress and air pump, 8x10 tent, 3 tarps, flag pole, tent fan and all the other materials needed. Got a strap on it to keep it shut. I'm ready to go now guys!
Hope it passes as a large suitcase at the airport....
Don't know where else to put this, but I just got an order of custom made shirts delivered and I could not be more pumped. The shirts display various Roo-related obscene messages and stupid puns. Can't wait to christen these puppies at the farm!
I just picked up a $10 air mattress at Wal-Mart. They had a few camping related items in the clearance section. I also found the coleman 10" steel tent stakes for $2 for a pack of 4. They have 10x8 2-tone (blue/silver) tarps for $5.
1. New two-person cot -http://www.amazon.com/Kamp-Rite-FC321-Double-Kwik-Cot/dp/B004M0YY0G/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1370482164&sr=8-1&keywords=double+cot Really excited to see how the cot feels over the weekend with air bed on top (can't snuggle on the cot alone since there is a bar in the middle, but it folds up to about the size of an ezup. Plus there is room to store items underneath it and hopefully allow for some more airflow to us being up off the ground.
2. New Shade tents - These were on clearance at Academy for $70ea (were $160) and are pretty sweet. The straight legs make a huge difference in useable space. Several adjustable heights, air vents that won't catch water, and tie downs for wind.
3. Just taped some new hoops which will look amazeballs in the sunshine!

This is my first time at Roo, but most of the stuff I'm bringing has been around for a while. I am, however, planning on picking this up today. Anyone else have any experience with solar charging devices? I just want it for my phone, which I don't even plan on using (other than a daily message home). I just don't want to end up needing it, only for it to be dead.

Just purchased a cabellas trekker cot! I'm pretty pumped about trying it out, but I'm not sure if I should get a pad as well. Is the pad more of a luxory item?

Touche! Well I guess I should ask if the pad is an accessory that I'm really going to want haha?
My new gear includes two new tapestries for the ez-up and a new plastic tote for all my campsite decor. I busted my ez-up taking it down last year, but I have a new one that I sort of inherited from my Roo-mate. Not exciting gear, for sure, but new nonetheless!

Idk how vital it is, but if you are in the market for one, I found an Ozark Trail self-inflating sleeping pad at Wal-Mart yesterday in the clearance aisle marked down to $10. I think it would definitely make the cot more comfy. Why don't you try sleeping on the cot without a pad (like tonight), and see if you think you can do without? I also saw that they had a Coleman extra-slim twin air mattress, specifically for using with a cot, for like $20. I'd think that would be the ultimate luxury camping sleeping arrangement - a cot AND an air mattress.

I just may try that tonight . But $10-$20 is cheap enough to make me get a pad. They were way pricier than I was originally expecting though.
