Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
I did not go in 2005, so I don't know, but you are right on the NO connection. It usually is not my taste, but the crowd and scene is always good, and I inevitably have a good time. Not many other places at roo can you just walk right up to a rail and watch the band play about 2 feet away.
I didn't look at tour dates to see who's actually not playing somewhere else Thursday but I predict it will come from this group:
Preservation Hall Trombone Shorty The Revivalists Something with Ziggy Modeliste Nicki Bluhm Futurebirds He's My Brother etc. Sheepdogs Drew Holcomb Trixie Whitley
I remember there being an announcement of some sort. Can't remember if it was before/during/after the schedule announcement, but I do remember something. Hope this was helpful
You also have Araabmuzik, Ariel Pink, Deap Valley, and Django Django playing right in the middle of the party. All bands I wanted to see. If it is not a decent band, this may be the first year I completely skip it.
He's my brother, She's my sister would work, but don't know if they're a big enough name? Might not matter since the party crowd will be much smaller since Thursday has some good acts drawing people into Centeroo this year
Alrighty. Acts I cannot miss are Milo Greene ( ending at 5:30) and Django Django (starting at 9) There's lots inbetween that I don't want to miss, but its all going to depend on how much I get into certain acts between now and Roo, who is playing the VIP party, and how I'm feeling at the time. It's not gonna be too hard to twist my arm one way or another.
There's a band that would be great as the VIP party, that the timing works out for on the schedule, that's big enough and would work really well. But I don't want to say it for fear or junxing it. *cough TRIANGLE cough*

Doesn't really fit the themes of years past IMO, if we are indeed both talking about ?. I'd bet on something more like Trombone Shorty or Sea Wolf or, in the brightest (however still unlikely) timeline, Jim James.
But in all likeliness, I'll be skipping for the first time to see the Bammer and HAIM anyway.
(1) Damon Albarn (2) Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds (3) King Khan & His Shrines (4) Ty Segall (5) Ms Lauryn Hill (6) Darkside (7) Kanye (8) Janelle Monae (9) Goat (10) Meshuggah.

I only did VIP in 2011, but those times look on par with the schedule from that year. It says the party starts at 7:30, but I feel like they were serving food and beer by 6.
They did start serving food earlier last year...I think it was about 5:30-6...my plan is to go to 21 Pilots, come eat, go to Walk the Moon, then come back to the party depending on the act. But I gotta support my Ohio boys!

That's probably my plan, too. I'm from Columbus, and I've heard a lot of good things about their live shows.
