VIP Pre-Event Party: VIP Party will take place in the courtyard area in VIP Campground on Thursday night. Food and beverage service is from 5pm - 8pm. The buffet is being catered by Jim N Nicks BBQ! We have veggie options too!
The entertainment starts at 8pm in the Bandshell Tent. This year we have comedian Nicky Glaser followed by Nickie Bluhm & the Gramblers!
The ice cream was pretty spotty, but i managed to get an apple or orange everyday, which made for a great snack later on.
They said in the email that ice cream this year is in the campground tent 1PM & 5PM and at the Which tent 2PM & 6PM Fri, Sat and Sun. Sounds like the spotty was probably planned last year. I never heard it communicated that way.

And don't forget to tip the beer servers. They work for free and all monies are given to whatever organization their supporting. I know we all have spent a lot of money but don't be cheap. A nice cold Magic Hat is worth a buck. Have fun and drink mucho water.

2nd biggest gripe about the weekend was the insane lines for the VIP food on Thrs.
Yeah, the lines were unreal...much worse than in previous years; however, the quality of the food was vastly improved. BBQ chicken was great & the huge, juicy shrimp were almost perfect (would've been w/cocktail sauce.) And don't even get me started on how amazing the cold watermelon was on that hot day! The tents offered more than 1 variety of cider this year, too. Big yay for that.
During the party, I chatted w/a middle-aged couple who had unique accents. Turns out they were from Norway and came all the way to 'Roo (first time in the U.S. even!) just to see Billy Idol...

It was not even worth standing in that line for free BBQ. As soon as we saw it and how slow it was moving, we were like "nope!" We snuck in the other line where a lady was telling people not to go in because the food was almost gone and managed to get some scraps...then bounced to the other table to grab some cookies and grabbed an ice tea. Then we downed a few of the free beers and went back inside fest.

Yup, the food was definitely better, that's for sure! As for how we didn't bump into each other, I have no idea! I was on the lookout, too! I went to the inforoo GA brunch, but not the VIP one. Saturday morning was a bit rough for me

Strawberry is THE WORST! The problem is that I don't even like ice cream that much.. unless it's filled with delicious things. Then it's great

Yep, it's free Ben & Jerry's mini cups, usually 2-3 flavors and then they will have the chocolate covered Cherry Garcia ice cream bars. But you really have to be in the right place at the right time, I think they only fill the bins twice a day. I'm not much of an ice cream person, except when it's hot, free, and at Bonnaroo.
I just want to know who's playing the party! There is such a good undercard that it could be anyone!
