Sweetened green tea powder (Maccha? Matcha? Matcka?). They come in lots of shapes and sizes, but I like the little "instant" packets that you just add to water. If you don't have an asian food market near you that sells them, there are alot of varieties on Amazon.
Green Tea is MAGICAL. It's got natural caffeine, boosts your immune system, energizes, is great for digestion (hello porta-potty!), and tastes great. I am usually a coffee drinker, but I feel like tea carries much less of a "crash" and you can still get all the caffeine your beating heart desires.
Hopefully my morning will be filled with more sleep now that I ordered my portable hammock to sleep with under our ezup. We shall seeee, but I usually go and hit the portos as soon as possible. In my experience(2009-2010), the earlier you head to the portos the less of a line, cleaner(if they have already had their morning pump and scrub), and cooler before the sun starts to heat them up like your tent. Porto talk is just lovely.

I'd give black tea (or a mix) a try if I were you. It's got way more caffeine in it, but still tastes great.
Just bought the new camp grill and griddle. Bacon, eggs, pancakes, potatoes maybe, followed by. 3 espresso shot mocha, and corn in the mean times of waiting. I'll be fully prepared for another long days fun
I've been looking for something to cook with while camping, where is the best place to look for something really cheap?
New? Gander mountain or dicks. Used, eBay, Craigslist, etc.
Mine has a griddle/grill, and a stove burner. Paid right about 80.
i find the best way to deal is to get up the very minute i wake. run down to the wash stations and wash off really fast. its not busy at that hour and its very cooling. it helps me to be able to get back to sleep. then i go back to the tent...change the shade around to block the sun better. get some water.....and lie under the shade tent for another couple of hours while everyone else is waking up. im able to get in a couple of extra hours in this way.
i also go back to the tent after the sun goes down for another rinse at the waash station, a water, and a quick nap. i almost always can grab a couple of hours before heading back out.
im lucky in that i can also sleep on the ground in centeroo during the day. this is odd because i cant sleep during the day any othe rtime but i can at roo. i can find a show...get the in back and nap away. the only key to this is to stay hydrated. if you sleep too long in the sun you will be very sick. sleep 30 minutes...get up...drink.....move around....nestle back down.

Maybe it's just personal preference, but I like to spend most of my Bonnaroo awake. You know, seeing shows, mingling with the crowd, munching corn... But hey, that's just me.
Sweat a lot. Become more and more comfortable being naked in my tent, even with the tent flap open and the rain fly off. Spend last day momentarily contemplating just how many people have seen my private bits while at Bonnaroo, then shrug because at that point I don't care.
And don't tell me to forget the tent because everyone knows that the average tent-less Bonnaroovian swallows three spiders and five ants a night.

i didnt meant that to sound like i sleep the whole time. sorry. i was just saying thats how i get a little extra rest in when i may have missed some sleep. yes im awake a lot of roo too but...i also find that rest helps me to enjoy the shows much more . sleeping in centeroo....i do that when i really want to catch some rest so that im not dead tired later and i dont really want to go back to the tent either....so i find a chill show and catch a nap between acts that i really want to see. hope thats clearer
yes i agree i think thats what i was getting at in my post. one year a band i really wanted to see was playing late and it was drizzling. normally that would have added to the fun but i was wet....chilly.....and exhausted. it was too much and i m issed the show. i have always regretting that. on the other hand, took a quick nap in centeroo prior to ghostland observatory and was WOWED by their late night show. im SO glad i got a little bit of rest when i could.
theres nothing worse to me than looking forward to a show for months and then being too tired or too out of it to enjoy the show.
it probably depends upon how you take to naps. normally im not a napper but at roo...it seems to work for me
I do a combo of what everyone has already said. I get up as soon as I wake up. If I go back to sleep, the pool of sweat becomes far more than I want to deal with. I go right to the porties and brush my teeth at the wash stations. If I'm feeling ambitious, I'll wash up a little too opposed to the baby wipe bath. Then go back to camp and do the baby wipe bath if needed, sit and have some grub and hydrate while watching all the other Rooers waking and make their way around the grounds. I've done the same routine for 5 years and it's worked wonderfully for me. Once I'm all comfy, THEN I start the intoxication activities
"anybody with a terminally jangled lifestyle needs at least one psychic anchor every twenty-four hours, and mine is breakfast."- HST that said. aquatic earplugs, as late as i can possibly sleep. big glass of ice water, chug it. shower off, brush teeth. fresh undies. banana. iced coffee. herbals. back stretches. milk. fruit. eggs/ breakfast burrito. vitamins. tobacco.finish iced coffee. ice water. more bathing. more herbals. more fruit on way in. no drinking till sundown hours. it's a marathon, not a sprint!

Pedia-lite is absolutely key to recovering from a late night bonnaroo binge. I am also big on those garlic grilled cheeses they serve in Tent City. I've never been one to enjoy the classic "greasy bacon and eggs" while hung over. It doesn't digest easily.

there's to much heat for spunions on the farm. just ask zen, I'm pretty sure she had the up close look at a talk with god/aliens and then a freak out with me last year. even an hour or two will make a difference other than that follow all advice on water, vitamin and electrolyte replacement, and remember above all karma is your best friend. do your thing, rock out loud and be safe

Vitamin C, gatorade, Water with Eggs, Chorizo sausage cheese and tortillas were my morning wakeups. I napped in the shade most afternoons because I wanted to rest up for the night.
I try to wait until after noon to start drinking beer but mimosas and lemon drops are fair game in the am. Of course for me massive amounts of cold diet pepsi and water and those little cups of oranges, ice cold. Then my day can begin.
Good call on the lemon drops. Easy and a crowd pleaser.....at 8:00 am

I would advise against drinking more alcohol to ease a hangover. It's just going to drain you in the long run. Get a battery powered fan, find some shade, and sleep it off as best you can. Your body's gonna need it after that Jim James > McCartney > ZZ Top > Pretty Lights marathon.
