A thundershower or two wouldn't be too bad. The longer we go without them, the more the temperature climbs. Hopefully we'll get one right before Roo, then have clear skies the rest of the weekend. Considering the Louisville weather, it's a definite possibility that we'll have 85 and sunny the whole time.

Just an FYI I am taking a screen shot of accuweather every day leading up to Bonnaroo and observiing the daily changes of the weather according to accuweather. The temp has went up 7 degrees on Weds. so far.

You remember the disaster of I think it was 09 or 10 where there was a lot of rain before they opened the gates and it was a nightmare trying to get cars situated with all the mud. People were in line for half a day because of it.

I wasn't there that year, thank goodness, but I have heard the horror stories. We don't need a HUGE storm, just enough of one to a) keep the dust down and b) bring a cold snap.

Right now it's looking like a pretty decent forecast if this holds up. No steady rain, just some periodic storms. Honestly that is my ideal: I like it hot with an evening shower every day to keep the dust down.
I say it every year. And I'll say it again. It's been a good long while since I've gone through a good rainy muddy festival. I'd like to test myself to see if I can still do it with a smile.
I have never experienced it, but I believe it has to be the threat of a major thunder/lightening storm, God forbid tornado or such to make them alter anything.

I think its about time to start checking the forecast. Looks like the first week of june there is a good chance of thunderstorms. Last year the rains were gone just in time for Roo so heres hoping the same with a few light showers to keep us all cooled down.

Buffalo Springfield playing during a crazy lightning storm in 2011. At the entrance to Centeroo they told us that we should turn back and go to camp. I was in BFE so I was NOT walking 40 minutes back in the storm when I was already in Centeroo. I just marched on and stood in the storm with crazy lightning watching them jam out on stage. 10 minutes later, it was completely cleared up.
Worst case rain scenario... Do any performances get altered (postponed/cancelled) due to inclement weather? Ya, I'm a pessimist haha.
In 2011 during Buffalo Springfield they made people exit the bleachers.
I have to admit, when things really started blowing (and I was riiiiight next to one of the support towers for the stage) I got pretty nervous. Then Neil Young melted my brain with rock and I felt a lot better!
I live about 20 min away from the farm, and the weather has been like clockwork. It will be perfect during the week, then the chance of rain moves in for the weekend. Last weekend was perfect, but I think it rained the 4 weekends before that one, and it is supposed to rain tonight (severe too), and it looks like the chance of rain is going to move in again just in time for next weekend. Based on this, I'm sure it will be perfect Thursday and Friday, and it will rain on Saturday and Sunday. I think the best local weather forecast comes from www.wsmv.com, so if you want to keep an eye on that forecast, they are usually the most accurate.

After last year's amazingness, I was assuming we were really in for it this year, one way or another. But I'm liking what I'm seeing so far! Still a bit too early to really trust it, though.

We didn't make it there last year so I'm jealous of those who experienced the awesome weather! I'm just hoping that when we arrive on Thursday around noon that it isn't storming or raining because I am not going to setup camp in the rain! I guess we would just chill out in the vehicle....
Yeah it's still a little early to tell but definitely looking better than it was last week...

As long as it stays out of the 90's, I'll be happy. Although this year I should be better prepared for both rain and really hot weather compared to the previous years.
