Does anyone else think the Pats odd may be a little too good considering Brady lost basically all his offensive weapons from last season? They should still have good odds, but I just don't see them on the same level as the other three.
Yea, those odds are too good. Part of it is the lack of true threats in the AFC (on paper, at least, we all know anything can happen on the field) and part of it is reputation.
He's 36 and we haven't seen much of a decrease in accuracy. He can stand in the pocket like a statue and fire lasers indefinitely.
Except for the guys hitting him, and when his lateral maneuverability starts to decline he'll start taking more and more hits and the statue will start to crumble.
He wants to play until he's 40, if I remember correctly, so I think he makes it there. But I don't think he's a top-5 QB (for that individual season). Dude simply has to start to decline and I think this is the year where it starts to happen.
I think the only difference will be that he won't be a guaranteed top 5 QB, but he'll still be capable of it with a good team around him (which he'll have). As historical evidence, I submit brett favre's 2007 and 2009 seasons, which both happened after age 36, while acknowledging that he didn't pull it off in 2008 (jets) or 2010 (41 years old)
QB positions have changed dramatically in the last 3-4 years as well. Something along the training in college, or scouting ability, or even NFL training has produced way more A-A+ QBs then there used to be. There are easily 5 QBs in the NFL right now that can hang with Brady all day long.
Also might just be the switch to such heavy offensive schemes.
If the Pats were stock I'd short them all year long.

I think the more offensive friendly rule implements in the passing game and the restrictions put on defenders has helped the incoming rookie QB's as well.
Let's not forget that the Pats play in the easy AFC and in probably the worst division in the league with respect to the 2nd to 4th best teams. It shouldn't be too hard for them to have a good season. barely make the playoffs and lose.
This sounds like the Chargers goal ever year. AFC West is the special ed of football.

You're just too young to grasp how stylin' I really was. All the boys wanted to do me when I was 5. Actually the girls did too. My haircut was confusing.
You don't uppercut him in the face, right in the sternum with the butt of your hand. Some kid did it to me once and I got the wind knocked out of me. Every since then I stopped jumping full-extended in large crowds.
This might be old news, but FYI, if you pre-order Madden 25 from Amazon, you get a code for a free year of NFL Sunday Ticket online - which normally costs like $250. So even if you don't play video games, but want to be able to watch your out-of-market team on the cheap, this is the way to go. Hell, you could order it, then either gift or sell the actual game if you don't want it. Just a heads up.
Wow what a great freaking tip thanks man.
The question is. Can you get the sunday ticket without signing up for DTV...

At 5'4" and 150 lbs in high school, it's very surprising that nobody ever took the time to teach me that one .

The benefits are as follows:
"Exclusive Offers From DirecTV
For fans who are not currently DirecTV subscribers but are able to receive DirecTV service, they will receive a promo code entitling them to $10 off per month for their first year of service and one year of NFL Sunday Ticket Max at no additional charge.
For fans who are already DirecTV and NFL Sunday Ticket Max subscribers, you can access NFL Sunday Ticket on your computer, tablet, and mobile devices using your current DirecTV username and password.
For fans unable to receive DirecTV service, each Madden NFL 25 Anniversary Edition will include a unique code to access the 2013 regular season (17 weeks) of NFL Sunday Ticket on computers, tablets, and mobile devices- including access to the award-winning Red Zone Channel."
I am a little hung up on the first criteria of "...fans who are not currently DirecTV subscribers but are able to receive DirecTV service..." v. the third criteria of "...fans unable to receive DirecTV service..."
I'd rather meet the third criteria and access on my computer because I do not want to subscribe to DirecTV, but I guess I am technically "able" to subscribe. Do we think I am being too picky with the language here?

Well, this is just for Sunday Ticket ONLINE - as in, you can stream every game live through your PC or mobile device. So no, you don't need to be a DirectTV subscriber. To get this access, it'd cost you $300. It also includes RedZone, which is pretty sweet.
I was going to buy Madden anyway - its been a while since I've played, but I wanted a copy of this year's edition's Seahawks team - so it's basically $40 for access to every game, all season.
Also, the deal is exclusively through Amazon, and you must purchase the "Anniversary Edition," which is $99.99. Still a great deal, however.

I thought the same thing but saw this under the FAQs.
"Do I need a DirecTV subscription to access NFL Sunday Ticket? No, it's not necessary to have a DirecTV subscription. Each Anniversary Edition includes a code that can be redeemed to access the full 2013 regular season (17 weeks) of NFL Sunday Ticket on computer, tablet, and mobile devices."

Trust me, I love JJ Watt as a man child, a cyborg/beast hybrid nightmare monster and a granter of wishes to cute little girls to melt even the blackest of hearts.
My comment is solely from the mindset of "f*ck if I'm going to let this guy Dwight Howard a pass on top of my head," aka the "other guy."
