So who are your undraftables for your fantasy draft? At least in the first ten rounds. Mine include Rob Gronkowski, Hakeem Nicks, Darren McFaddon, Ryan Matthews, Jay Cutler, etc. Most of these are because of injury woes but some I just don't trust.

I'm in a 12 team offline draft at another board I go to. It's the 5th round, and half of those guys have already been drafted. It's a major run on TE's - and Heath Miller and Antonio Gates somehow got taken before Greg Olsen and Owen Daniels. Eli Manning was taken 7th overall.
Meanwhile I've picked up Peyton Manning, CJ Spiller, Steven Jackson, Roddy White, and Lamar Miller so far. I'm top half easily, looking at a deep playoff run with a bunch of these guys drafting like shit.

You're list is pretty in line with mine except that I'm ok with Gronk and Nicks in the proper place. Usually they don't stay on the board long enough for me to consider drafting them though.
I consider the oldish running backs (Steven Jackson, Frank Gore, Rashard Mendenhall), chronic injury guys (Mike Vick, Antonio Gates, Chris Ivory) and the guys who play with terrible QBs (Stevie Johnson, Cecil Shorts, anyone who plays for Oakland or Tennessee) to be fantasy risks. There are always exceptions to the rule but I feel much better letting those guys give other people headaches.

This is something you can usually declare before the first week of preseason games.
Related question: Why the hell are you drafting before the first week of preseason games?

This sounds like the worst fantasy league....ever.
Flanz, I saw that Rex announced the Sanchise will get the starting nod for the first preseason game. Has he created some separation over Smith or did he just win the coin flip?

The Jets were doing this two-days-on, two-days-off with Mark/Geno getting 1st team reps. It led to Geno starting the Green & White scrimmage and it'd technically be a Mark day to play with the 1s. They also said yesterday or the day before that Mark's the established starter so he deserves to start that first game.
The needle is slightly in Mark's favor on starting QB dial, but he needs to put some more separation if he expects to be named the starter.
And my personal conspiracy theory is that they did this so they can start Geno next week when the team is home and spare Mark the abuse of getting booed during team introductions. As much as he sucks, he's a good guy and that sort of sh*t really irritates me. F*cking Jets fans.

Sometimes it doesn't mean anything at all, so I think it's the coin flip. I mean, Kirk Cousins is starting for the Redskins tonight.

Sounds about right. I think people get wrapped up too much in rookies sometimes. UT is having the same thing right now with this freshman that is incoming. Some people have got it in their heads that he is going to be some savior and are wanting to skip over the junior who probably deserves the job more even though they haven't seen the freshman play a single down. They're not to the point of booing the guy, but they don't even want to give him a fair shot.

I thought that is because they said Griffin is sitting out the preseason due to his knee.

I'm just saying that the starter of Game 1 in the regular season and the starter in Game 1 of the preseason are often different for lots of reasons, not necessarily because one has outperformed the other.

I would say it's two different situations though. If Griffin was 100%, I highly doubt that Cousins would be starting the first preseason game.

Fresh Face Syndrome.
Jets fans are entering the 5th year of a marriage with Mark Sanchez. The puppy love stage is long gone and his margin for error is most likely the smallest in the entire NFL. Geno is the fresh face so it's all sunshine and rainbows with him. Their hearts weren't broken with Geno at the helm. Right or wrong, people blame Sanchez for the Jets not making the Super Bowl, even though he played well in both AFC Title games. Injuries lost the first one and the worst gameplan in the history of mankind lost the 2nd one.
Whatever, I expect Mark to start but I'm rooting for Geno. But in reality I'm rooting for the defensive line to beast mode everyone.

What you are saying and what I said above are both correct and not mutually exclusive.
I wouldn't say severely exaggerated. Bovada has them at 25:1. In my head I'd put them at 50:1 and I think they should be at least on the same page as the Buccaneers, Redskins, Cowboys, Lions.
But I do not see them better then the Broncos, 49ers, Falcons, Packers, Texas, Seahawks or Giants..
Above Pats and in my opinion the same level as the Saints but everyone has the Saints rated higher than Ravens.
I honestly think Ravens regular season game 1 will be a 20+ point loss and I plan on loading that line pretty hard when it comes in at -7.5 to 9 range.

The 25:1 odds make plenty of sense. At worst the Ravens are still the fourth best team in the AFC, so they are going to get better odds than a team that is on their level but has to weather the storm of the NFC.
I don't really know where you came up with the list of teams you consider on the Ravens level. None really compare.
I expect the Broncos to cover, but I don't see a 20+ point blowout. Especially when you factor in the losses of Von Miller and on the O line.

I don't see the Broncos blowing the Ravens out at all. They may have lost aging Ray Lewis and Ed Reed, but that team had a lot of depth on defense. They may have some questions at WR, but have a top tier offensive backfield.
Broncos beefed up their O/L, picked up Welker and may be pulling Saturday out of retirement. Ray Lewis "aging" is just trying to justify the fact they lost the best defensive player on their team. It had depth with a leader that quit and Ed Reed following. The saints had a ridiculous 2011-2012 team. Their leader Sean Peyton was banned. Everything fell apart. I know it is not an exact analogy but, I will be shocked if Ravens can stop Peyton to Welker. Their new left end is AMAZING. C.J. Anderson added for pass protection and up and down running really will open up the field for Peyton.
They have huge WR problems and their depth is now their first string start with no clear leader and the depth is gone. 25:1 does make sense I agree. I thought that was the "severely underrated". 25:1 puts like 10 NFL teams ahead of them from the bookies. I'd take the Buccs at 50:1 WAY before the Ravens at 25:1.
They started last year at 18:1...

A better analogy then Sean Peyton is if you follow NBA super close this is very similar to Dallas 2011-2012 season after they won the Championship imo.

Good point about the leadership loss. Kruger and others also jumped ship. They do have some young, capable LBs left and added Dumerville. Maybe some of Lewis rubbed off on Suggs and he can take a bit of a leadership role. I'm not a Ravens fan by any means. This could possibly be the Bengals year to claim the North.

I think the Peyton analogy is fitting in terms of leadership lost. The Mavs championship team dismantling still wasn't as bad as the '97 Marlins.

$20 to win $1,000 on the Buccaneers to win it all? Sign me up. I also like the Giants at 20:1 and Bengals at 25:1.
The Broncos odds are terrible, even though they are by far the most likely to win IMO. I'd rather take $100 and bet double or nothing on the Broncos all through the playoffs. Even with the odds, the payout would still be better than the 9:2 odds being offered now. AND you don't have to bet the money now...you can wait till the playoffs.
I agree 6:1 is crazy. I got money on the Buccs and Broncos so far. But I got the Broncos at 8:1. 49ers at 6:1 is crazy too. I know they are super hyped for good reason. But 6:1 is crazy for almost any team.
I think every team we are talking about has a better show then the Pats tho.. That is the REAL crazy odds.
Edit: I also may be biased in this convo because I LOVED me some Ray Lewis.....

Not even close. Take another look at the roster.

Here is my original quote...
Ravens have a really tough schedule this year, but the rumors of their demise have been severely exaggerated.
Don't see anything about them being underrated by the oddsmakers, just stating that I think everyone who has written them off because of the loss of a few big names is wrong and doesn't understand the genius of Ozzie Newsome.
