Ywah, singles was my introduction, as I'm sure it was for many. Didn't see that coming, but I like it a lot more knowing that side is sitting behind all those songs I'm so familiar with now. But as LD said, "Weird". I like weird.

Future Islands is so weird. Its like dream pop with a metal vocalist. That got changed fairly quickly.

Hmm, that sounds pretty interesting. Honestly the album didn't do much for me, but I haven't given it a fair shake yet, just a quick listen. I'll need to be sure to check out their set later.
Is he wearing gloves like the singer of Deafheaven by chance?

I stayed up til 2 a.m. last night (EST) and narrowly missed Outkast due to dark rooms and rum. The lady is asleep. So, how late do I stay up tonight? I'm not making it to Skrillex. I think I'll go to QOTSA and if I'm still feeling good, Pharrell/Fatboy Slim.
I'm shocked to find out this many people didn't know about live Future Islands.
i feel like singles was an intro for a lot of folk around here, including myself. He certainly look the part of a metal singer. The other 1/2 if his vocal ability doesn't quite fit with the outer apearsnce IMO. Great stuff

Pet Shop Boys is where its at. Liking the Saturday Mojave British dancey act pattern with New Order last year and Pet Shop Boys this year. Maybe making it a little more modern and having The Prodigy next year???
