Cannot wait for Animal Collective late night. Only corn i'm bringing is specifically for that. Hope they play well into the morning.
Also looking at that show as redemption for the dreadful time slot they played in '09. I've seen them around 12 times and that is honestly the only bad show I've seen them play. Day time (they have light/prop heavy sets), 100 billion degrees, and they had been touring for over a year straight. Recipe for disaster.

Would yous put Gov't Mule in the Jam catagory(Phish, Dead) or the southern rock/bluesy catagory (allman brothers, ZZ top) Im not a Jam fan to much but I do appreciate some good electric guitar. Wondering if this is a show I should go check out. Opinions?

This might not help, but they're pretty much a perfect blend of the 2.

Also do they do alot of covers in their sets?
IMO they are more in the Allman camp. Their jamming is much more blues based. They do a lot of covers but not at every show. They have been known to do theme shows where they will cover a bunch of songs by one band. They did a Pink Floyd show once, a Zeppelin show, a Woodstock Themed show were they did songs from the original Woodstock, you see where I'm going.
I'm seeing them for sure. My girlfriend will be hitting up Tallest Man on Earth but I need some jam in my weekend.

Sold. Was thinking of Four Tet but I have a feeling Gov't Mule will fill a void I have in that genre this year. Plus one genre into a completely different one (Gov't Mule into Nas) is exactly what I like to experience at Roo.

If you're looking to fill a jam void, this is the set. Pretty much the only one actually...
I was going to be attending this show to fill my jam void, but then the schedule happened.

Actually last time I saw gov't mule at roo (2009 i think) they covered Southern Man, Creep, Helter skelter, St. Stephen, don't step on the grass, sam (steppenwolf) and higher ground. Almost half their set was covers. I've seen them about 7 or 8 times, and the only time they came close to playing that many covers was at a roo late night that went for 3 hours. Warren Haynes loves to have people come jam with him, and often it is a cover of something (grace potter came out to sing a couple in '09 ). I would expect at least 1 or 2 this year.
Warren Haynes has an excellent voice, and is damn good guitarist, so if you are into the southern rock/blues style they are a must see.

I am still reeeeeally baffled by Bjork's time slot. I have posted this elsewhere but I just really hope that someone from AC reads this forum and changes her time slot. It CAN be done. They can adjust the time similar to 2011 with MMJ 8:00-10:00pm - Arcade Fire 11:00pm - 12:30pm on the what stage OR switch her with R. Kelly / The Lumineers. I know that R. Kelly and Lumineers will put on great shows, however, Bjork is a rarity for the US. She has a couple shows in california this month, pitchfork fest in july, and then bonnaroo.
Bjork 8pm - 930pm --- Mumford & Sons 10:30pm - 12am (or something similar to that)
Anyone can agree by watching these videos that her time needs to be pushed back 45min - 1hr or switched with another act. LISTEN AC We don't care WHAT OR WHICH! Just place her in the dark!

I'm glad Earl and Big KRIT are both playing on Friday instead of Thursday. It's nice that they'll be in the same tent too. I was expecting one or both to be on Thursday and that I'd have to miss out since I plan on seeing She & Him at the Ryman that night. Good scheduling by Bonnaroo, but bad booking by failing to get She & Him so I can see that angel Zooey.

All they have to do is switch bjork with the lumineers. They need to lose the 'similar artists on the same stage phobia'.

I don't know why but I have a feeling they will move her time slot and mumfords by thirty minutes to an hour and have mumford overlapping with R. Kelly. Im calling it
idk i think bjork could be alright in the daylight. maybe she'll break from all the biophilia and we'll get a little more of the "greatest hits". plus, this way more people will probably opt to check bjork out. if they switched her and lumineers most people would probably just stay at the what the whole time (obviously) and less people would be able to get turned on to bjork.
Alright folks, first time poster/ roo'er here, so feel free to school me in anything you see necessary! Here is my planned schedule, now, I listen to literally EVERY kind of music, so if you see someone missing that I "have to see" please lmk so that I may try to get the most out my first trip to roo!! Thanks And please forgive me for being so late THURSDAY DIIV>JD McPherson(in order to get a decent spot for Haim)>Haim>Purity Ring>Father John Misty>Alt-J>Capital Cities>whatever is left of ALO FRIDAY Reptar>Calexico/Local Natives>(maybe)the beginning of OMaM>Earl Sweatshirt!!!>possible end of passion pit>foals>The xx>Sir Paul>Wu-Tang>Pretty Lights SATURDAY Cults>Portugal. Mule?>Matt & Kim> Beach House/ Bjork> Lumineers> Mumford> Billy Idol> EotS>open SUNDAY Lee Fields> Action Bronson> Wild Nothing> Kendrick> Tame Impala> David Byrne and St. Vincent> Close with none other that THE TOM PETTY!!!!
So please, any commentary is appreciated, I am probably going to miss just as many as I am going to see, so I am very open to any suggestions, thank you and have a g'rooooo'vy, god that was cheesy haha
I didn't know of Maps & Atlases prior to the schedule release. This is a band that's really been growing on me week by week since initially checking them out. These guys have a great & unique groove. I'm now REALLY looking forward to their set!

Saw them open for Broken Bells a couple years ago, really good show. I hate that they're scheduled when they are.

here's her back in the "day"
it's less about turning peopleon to bjorka nd more about moving people around so they buy shit.
a 30 minute time slot change could happen, but bjork ain't playin the which before mumford.

Dont know is this has been pointed out but I just pulled up the schedule in the app and it looks like the Sonic Stage, silent disco, etc is all in there now.
