So obviously the scheduling of Bjork pre-headlining & The Lumineers closing Which doesn't make alot of sense to most of us. Here's a theory - Bjork's set has too much spectacle for Which & therefore must be on What. Anyone think there's validity to the theory that Which couldn't accomodate Bjork's set so a pre-headlining What spot is the only thing available?

Quack no. if skrillex's monstrosity fit ont he which, bjork would have been fine there.
THEY WANT PEOPLE MOVING AROUND TO SPEND MONEY NOT CAMPING AT STAGES. IT'S NOT COMPLICATED.
I don't necessarily think this is why they schedule it the way they did. Maybe it is. but if I am moving stage to stage to catch different acts, i don't want to stop to buy stuff. I want to get to where I am going. especially if I am leaving a band I really wanted to see to go to a band I really want to see (which would be the case for lumineers >mumford for a lot of people, I assume). People don't need to be moving around to buy stuff to eat and drink. In years past between the preHL and HL on What is my prime time to get food and beer while other people in my group hold down our spot. Yeah, all my evidence is mostly anecdotal, but I really think I it is more logistics related than just trying to make people move around to buy stuff.

right, but people are going to buy beers on the way, maybe grab a slice, it all adds up. people that post on music festival message boards are not the normal fest goer.
i don't want to stop and buy shit either, but we're musicheads. many people go to music festivals to relax and have a great time. i want to do that too, but it's secondary to the sounds.
Just picked up the new ZZ Top album produced by Billy & Rick Rubins - I was already going to see them but now my interested is peaked - solid album so far from what I'm hearing.
I was hoping to attain my peers opinions on a conflict that I was recently faced with. I am a big Tame Impala fan, a mild Kendrick Lamar fan, also, I'm fairly into Holy Ghost! So I was wondering if anyone had seen any of these artists before because I was hoping that you would be able to tell me your opinion on whether or not it would be worth it to skip Kendrick in an attempt to get a better seat at Tame Impala, I planned on being at the "other tent" the entire day before Holy Ghost! anyway, so I'm sure i could be on the rail by the time Tame Impala came on. So, opinions?

I don't believe there are "seats" anywhere. We'll, except on the VIP hill so hope that helps. But it probably doesn't.

Fore34 if you're a huge Tame Impala fan and only a mild Lamar fan I'd say stick around the Other Tent. Holy Ghost! should be fun. There was nothing special about Kendrick's set last year at Roo. I'm sure he steps it up now for festivals since gaining so much popularity. If you do decide to see him though you should still be able to get a decent spot for Tame Impala afterwards.

hahaha, god forbid I say "seat" instead of "spot", I even said "on the rail" later in the statement, which would not apply to a show that you had "seats" at anyway

That one didn't bother me. I've been to plenty of ampitheatres where there were seats and a pit (with a rail). I was just giving you a hard time. I thought the "but it's probably doesn't" would have clued you in to that.

skip Kendrick. I am a huge fan of his newest record but found the live show disappointing. The Buku set (which admittedly I only caught the first three songs of before heading to Alt-J) was the worst kind of live rap: a DJ and an MC whose vocals were mixed way to loud shouting into the microphone. All the magic of the vocal effects Kendrick uses on the album weren't present, so the end result was just a guy shouting the f-word over and over again on a beat you couldn't really make out.

I got the joke sir, I simply was saying i knew there were no "seats" while still acknowledging your joke. I thought the "hahaha" would have clued YOU in on THAT! haha

Saturday's schedule has been shaken up a bit. I'm not certain of all the changes, but Portugal. The Man is now 4:00-5:15 (still on Which Stage) and Gov't Mule is 2:45-4:15 on What.

Interesting. Where was Gov't Mule before? PTM's new spot?
