Thanks for the heads up, BonnarooDetective. I'm glad to see Mule got an extended set time, but it still doesn't work out with my schedule where I'll be able to catch them.
Saturday's schedule has been shaken up a bit. I'm not certain of all the changes, but Portugal. The Man is now 4:00-5:15 (still on Which Stage) and Gov't Mule is 2:45-4:15 on What.
Interesting. Where was Gov't Mule before? PTM's new spot?
Yeah - it looks like a three-way trade with Solange.
Before: Solange on What 2:45-3:45 PTM on Which 2:15-3:15 Gov't Mule on Which 4:00-5:15
Now: Gov't Mule on What 2:45-4:15 Solange on Which 2:25-3:15 PTM on Which 4:00-5:15

YEESSSSS! So excited! It gets rid of my PtM and Lord Huron conflict. And PtM got an extra 15 min. They were previously only scheduled for an hour.
Now we just need them to switch Bjork and The Lumineers.
with the mule ending 30 minutes later than solange would have it stands to reason the rest of the stage could be pushed back similarly, including bjork.

This actually makes me really happy! Originally I planned to see Lord Huron and then head over to Solange and wait in the pit for Nas but now I can see Lord Huron and head over to Gov't Mule. I really wanted to see Gov't Mule since I've heard they're a conventional jam band and really wanted to experience a jam band during my first roo experience but they originally conflicted with Nas, who was in my top five to see.
Since a full hour between shows on What is pretty much standard (and one would think Bjork's setup would be atypically elaborate), it sounds like there is a possibility for more changes to Saturday evening's schedule.

the pic the guy with the portishead avatar keeps posting from bjork's opener set doesn't make her set up look that complicated at all. video screens and instruments and shit. pretty standard.

I think they can manage to set up Bjork in 45 minutes.
Also I find it somewhat amusing that playing a sunset set at Coachella is a pretty big deal but playing a sunset at Bonnaroo is all "OMG WHAT ABOUT THE LIGHTZ??"

i think if bjork was scheduled to play a sunset slot at coachella people would be pissed. although that would have something to do with set length. at bonnaroo that's not an issue.

I mean, I certainly would have preferred Bjork to be later, but it's not the middle of the day, no one will be at the set so we'll all be close, it'll be fine.

yeah, i was up in arms about it originally, but it'll be fine. hoping for more than the biophilia show, and i think a day time set makes that more likely. how could i follow along on the biophilia app if it's still the middle of the day.
Maybe they will do the majority of the set up for Bjork overnight or in the morning. I don't know. I remember Shpongletron was on the stage at this tent the entire day when it was at Bonnaroo.

i have yet to see any evidence that bjork has a giant stage setup that she uses for festivals. please produce some?

It doesn't look too elaborate looking back at '07.

Guess there is more of a need for psychadellic lights at the Roo.

sunset at coachella is different that sunset at roo. at coachella none of the stages face west, allowing you to get a great view of the sunset, which is regularly quacking magical. at bonnaroo, it's more likely to be cloudy, and what stage, for instance, blocks a large part of your view of the sunset if you're within a certain distance of the stage.
here is my picture from the roots last year
this is actually a pretty picturesque sunset. if i recall correctly, this (or that, whatever) and other are backed into a treeline, so you don't get much of a visual there.
edit - by face west i mean east. the audience faces west at what, other and this (or that)
