Swans overlapping Tame Impala overlapping The National overlapping Divine Fits overlapping David Byrne & St. Vincent. Ouch.
To be totally fair to Roo, even if it's undeserved, all the sets being so long makes the conflicts seem worse than they would be at other fests. You still get to see 30-45 minutes of each of these bands, which would basically have been the full set time at Coachella.
I don't think their only set will be in the cinema tent. I could be wrong but I'd expect them to be added somewhere else on the schedule.
I figured I may as well write. They changed the TO policy because of feedback. Hopefully they will give PS a set of their own and break up the Billy Idol/Weird Al/Superjam block as well. If not, they'll just think I'm a silly person for writing a silly email.
It can't hurt to write, so go for it. My main point, though, was that something may still be in the works/getting confirmed that could be announced later.
I'm so overwhelmed. I'm about to print off the whole thing and get out my highlighters.
That's exactly what I did for my first Roo schedule release.
I just highlight them on the screen with the custom schedule thing. But it is sometimes easier having it all laid out in front of you. I expect some people to post up excel sheets/PDFs of the schedule at some point.
Does porter Robinson playing against pretty lights not bother anyone else? There's a few I could stand to see switched in there but overall I guess its ok. Gettin an early start Thursday tho
It happened at Counter-Point too, but then again that was an all-edm fest.

I love the lineup but the scheduling has me asking a few questions. (I haven't read through the posts in here yet so I apologize if I'm rehashing stuff)
Why schedule Conspirator during daylight hours? Where is That tent Friday night? Why is Portugal. The Man playing in the EARLY afternoon? Why wouldn't they have Mumford before Bjork?
I don't like to complain about things Bonnaroo related but the scheduling last year and now this year really has me scratching my head.
My biggest conflicts are: Deap Vally/Django Django/Purity Ring Paper Diamond/Alt-J/Allen Stone John McLaughlin/Jim James/Conspirator Pretty Light/Animal Collective Two Gallants/Portugal.The Man/Deathgrips Gov't Mule/Nas/Matt and Kim R Kelly/Superjam/Billy Idol/Weird Al Bustle/EOTS/Boys Noize Baroness/The Sheepdogs/Holy Ghost Swans/Ed Sharpe/Tame Impala Divine Fit/D. Byrne and St. V.

Great point. It's easier to see a decent amount of sets but it may be hard to grab a decent viewing spot because of running from one to the other. I know I can catch some of Wilco and some of Jim James but I'm debating on whether I'd enjoy getting a good spot for one and seeing the full set .vs. potentially being at the back of the audience for a portion of both.

You'll have the chance to see Beach House again. Bjork, who knwos.
I know. But this is the end of Beach House's tour most likely. And Bloom is my favorite album from last year.
But I'll likely do Bjork. Even though its not really as big of a spectacle show anymore since 3/4 of it is before dark. They basically screwed Bjork, and then me in the process. Conflicts are part of the festival. But my top 2 shows conflicting is annoying!
What time does the sun normally set? Bjork in the daylight seems so odd, but a sunset set would be pretty cool.
Upon further review just about every worst case scenario is happening for me. Thursday is the only day I don't hate. Also that I have nothing must see til wilco on Friday so I can spend plenty of time at brunch.

Oh right, not having viewing screens on the tents is sadistic.

Why schedule Conspirator during daylight hours?
A headscratcher for sure but I've always felt if you NEED a late night slot for your set to go over well then maybe you should focus more on the music and not the stage show/atmosphere. I've seen Conspirator only a couple of times and have faith they'll rock the crowd during the day but it definitely could have been a solid late night slot. Maybe these guys will do some sit-ins during the late hours.
Where is That tent Friday night?
I'm hopeful for, but not expecting, an act or another Superjam to be put in that slot. But it's certainly likely that it just stays empty and we never get a solid reason why.
Why is Portugal. The Man playing in the EARLY afternoon?
One of my major gripes. The Which Stage is a step up in terms of "these guys are getting bigger" but the sound can be crap at times and I hate seeing shows there early in the day. But they've put other "up and coming" bands in this similar slot in previous years. Two shows I was excited for but ended up being drained of energy was Wolfmother in 2007 (played early in the day on Sunday, which stage) and Delta Spirit recently (same kinda slot as PTM this year). I would rather PTM be in a tent because of the shade. Like Conspirator....they'll be a fine show but I wish they'd be almost anywhere/anytime else.
Why wouldn't they have Mumford before Bjork?
Dunno. Maybe they asked Bjork and she didn't want to do it. Or maybe they just like to mess with inforoosters lol

Yup. If they just added viewing screens my problem listed above wouldn't be nearly as much of an issue for me.

I've never had so many 3-ways in all my life
And one of them with R. Kelly? Kinky.
Technically that one is a 4 way, unless he is just there to hose us off.
I'm pretty excited about ALO being pretty late on thursday.
Really not looking forward to spending so much time at the Which for PtM>Gov't Mule. I normally try to avoid which like plague until at least early evening.
The empty LN That is confusing to me. I am hoping they have something up their sleeve. But I guess if not, it is better than an empty which like last year, which meant the tents were all very clogged.
