Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
Please note, single-day GA Bonnaroo tickets are only available with round trip shuttle passes, and will only be available for pick up at the Will Call location at LP Field in Nashville, TN. There are no exceptions to this. Please note that for the Weekend Shuttle Packages you do not have to choose your departure times now, but you will be required to register for a time at least 2 weeks before Bonnaroo (by May 30th) in order to guarantee a seat at your preferred time. For the Single-Day Shuttle Packages you will be required to select your departure times from both Nashville and Bonnaroo when purchasing your package.
I think it will affect the spirit of the festival. There's something about being stuck on the farm with no showers and no cell phone and no AC that pushes you to be a nicer, more community-driven person. There's a spirit of looking to the left and the right and saying, "Yeah, these are my people, we're neighbors. We understand each other." If I haven't had a shower in four days, I don't want to feel self-conscious standing next to someone that had a shower in the last four hours. Festivals that have one-day passes just have a different vibe than Roo (See Lollapalooza and Forecastle).
If the second rule of Bonnaroo is "Be in There," how can people follow it if they're not actually "in there?"

I get that, but I know a lot of people in Nashville who would like to only purchase Saturday and Sunday passes. I doubt you'll even notice who shows up when.

At $475 for a weekend pass, why not just buy a regular ticket and show up on Saturday? Camp like everyone else and enjoy the vibe. I was nervous my first time about camping in a field for four days, but I loved it. Had I had the shuttle option, I probably wouldn't have done it and I would have missed out on what made Bonnaroo great. I'm not the lone dissenter. A lot of people on Facebook dislike the change as well.

Hmmm very interesting. An enterprising slimeball like me could buy a cheapie for Thursday and then live in Centeroo the whole fest. I guess this mostly just means Macca will be even more packed.

You don't think the wristband for Thursday Only will look different?

Ah, the general commenting populace of the Bonnaroo facebook page. Always the most rational, intelligent, and experienced bunch of people you could ever meet.

Hey, don't shoot the messenger. And just because a vocal minority is mindless and annoying doesn't mean that valid opinions can't come from there.
Maybe I'm wrong and everything will feel like it has in the past. But I don't go to Bonnaroo for the music, I go for the vibe and the experience, which cannot be found at any of the other festivals I've attended. It's like trying to preserve an endangered species.
I think this is a cool idea. Obviously camping is still the way to go for my style, but I could see this being a good option for certain types of folks.
I kinda wish this option was available from day one. I purchased VIP for the upgraded camping and showers ect. I probably would have rather bought the shuttle and GA option and use the 500$ I save towards a comfy hotel room. Kinda shady that they announce this so late in the game.

Why is it shady? Do you feel tricked? I doubt there were purposefully trying to deceive you.

I personally don't like it none. But it also makes me glad Im in VIP this year again. Crowds at big shows could easily be far worse. And I see it possibly putting a strain on the infrastructure among other things. How many of these do you all think they'd sell before they capped em?

I'm not sure that the one-day tickets are on top of the 4-day tickets they sell. My assumption was that they converted some of the four-days to one-days. I could be wrong though.
I am guessing they will sell as many tickets as there are seats on the shuttle(s).

Who knows? maybe it'll be amusing. Think a buncha brentwood/steeplechase types showing up for Macca....horrified at all the smelly festy types. And their shock/horror when they have to use a Centeroo Porto.
This could pave the way to selling Single Day passes in the future.
And I love camping as much as anyone but I know others don't. So I can't see how this is a bad idea. I know plenty of people who stay in hotels (or even at home) and drive in to Roo each day..... how is this different?
And if I were going this year, I would buy my mom a Friday pass just so she could come see Macca.

They never sell out Bonnaroo really, and it always seems like a ton of people ask about day passes. As a business, why are they going to leave tickets unsold when they have a market for them? I think you will notice a slight difference in demographic, but it'll probably not be as much as is caused by the age of 2 of the 3 headliners.

DO IT !!!
I do think it could get hard all weekend, but it could be done !
I don't know how many local people have asked me if there are single day tickets. Should be able to just pick them up at the entrance though. That would bring locals from all over the area to experience Bonnaroo. I think it's a good idea.
