I like a lot of things about this festival, but $249 to camp in the woods is absolutely absurd.
While I'm complaining, I have serious concerns about this 9am gate time. I'm going to be pissed if I miss Keller because they don't have their logistics straight. A few people on reddit have e-mailed them with this concern and I'm going to follow suit.

It's going to be a clusterfuck either way. We might as well go ahead and start preparing ourselves for it now.
Well it's finally happening. I talked my friend into going with me. Skipping a good friends bachelor party is gonna suck on one hand, but this makes it all worth it. See you guys on the farm/racetrack/whatever the hell it is.
When's everyone planning on getting in line? I think we're going to stay in a hotel Wed night, then get up early Thurs morning and get in line. Crossing my fingers we won't be too far back.

I honestly haven't even looked into the details yet. I'm coming from Richmond, about 2 hours from there. I imagine I'll leave sometime around midnight wed and get there between 2 and 3 thurs morning. I don't mind waiting in line if it helps encourage the promoters to open the doors early.
We're leaving Birmingham at 9:45 pm on Thursday (or whenever I get out of class). Should be in Interlocken around 6am with 0 hours of sleep. Sucks we gotta miss Thursday but maybe y'all will take care of all the new festival kinks before we arrive .

I hope to get in line around 1-2 AM on Thursday morning. I'm thinking we will have lots of festy vets in attendance and can hopefully help work out any kinks the organizers may be having with the first year disorganization.
So it looks as if their Facebook, Twitter, and Tumblr accounts have all disappeared. I can't even speculate as to what that is all about. Their facebook page was gone this morning, and when I get home from work this afternoon their twitter and tumblr is gone. what the heck is going on?

Oh yeah? They already have Warren, Derek, and Oteil and the Allmans are in Virginia Beach the day before. May as well use the extra income from forest camping and give us ABB. Maybe if Neil had to cancel.
I have heard rumors of Aquarium Rescue Unit being an addition.
"Grace will be appearing solo as a guest of Gov't Mule for a few songs during their set at the Interlocken Music Festival on September 5th."
This was Shapiro's big announcement on Sirius this evening. He said that there were also going to be a couple more surprises, but that they wouldn't be announced ahead of time. I just have to believe that Allman bros will make an appearance. I mean, they'll be in VA beach on the 4th, and up to MA with Grace Potter on the 6th. How much you wanna bet they'll be playing a set or at the very least making a brief appearance Thursday night?!
He also mentioned shortening the name to Lockn, and trying to build an idea around it.
"Another novel element of Lockn’ will be the Live Soundtrack Cinema. Rather than screening movies that will compete with the live music, the festival’s cinema tent will present specially-selected silent films that will complement the performances. The Live Soundtrack Cinema will present an audio feed from the stage as the performers provide the soundtracks to various features, shorts and animation."

ya, Shapiro mentioned this briefly last night on Sirius. The only problem is, I can't think of any performer I would be willing to miss to go watch a silent movie
We have a monthly silent movie/live band thing in Baton Rouge. It's pretty cool to go sit on the lawn and watch/listen on a Friday night downtown, but it is not what I'd spend my time doing at a festival. Too many other crazy things to occupy my time.
