Really, really want to go to this. It seems like the perfect festival for my tastes in music. Only concern is whether my 200,000+ miles car can make the 8.5 hour (17 hours total) drive?!?
furthur/neil+crazy horse/john fogerty is enough to make me reallllly want to go. unfortunately ill probably have to fly solo from CT... decisions decisions
For those that bought tix today, do you just have to purchase a camping pass from Interlocken tomorrow? I didn't see a way to include it with the tickets on SCI's page.

I was wondering the same since the Interlocken site says that you will be given payment options for camping and parking before completing your purchase. That option, of course, was not available on the SCI site.

There's a separate link for parking/camping options, when clicked returns "Parking Passes for this event go on sale Thursday, May 23rd at 10am local time."
I assume tomorrow there will be a standalone purchase option for parking/camping. Either way I'm sure the event organizers will take care of it if there's a problem.
What I'd like to know is, if I drive with a friend, will we both need to purchase parking/camping? Is one pass good for the whole car?

OK. I didn't do my homewrok. I thought you would be campoing away from your vehicle for some reason or wherever you like. I guess I'm still in Spirit of Suwanee mindset.
"Car Parking with Camping - A camping pass allows a car to be parked in a camping spot with enough room for both a car and a tent that you bring."
From that, I assume 1 pass per car makes sense.
This is what I assume, too, but mostly just because that's how wakarusa does it.
I really want to know where car camping vs tent only is going to be. I did some google earth stalking, and there are a lot of open fields around that racetrack, and some are pretty far away. Plus, they talk about bringing bikes and having shuttles, which makes me think camping is going to be a hike from the venue. If car camping is really far, I'd probably want to try tent only. It sounds like that's a different kind of parking pass, though.
On the website, it says campsites are just a short walk from the music, but Bonnaroo says that too! Really would be sweet to see a map of the layout of things...
I've been hearing Disco Biscuits late night a lot, plus Bela Fleck, moe., TAB, UM, MMW, Gov't Mule, Blues Traveler, Lettuce, and Lotus. All just rumors, but from someone that seems to know a lot about this fest and that I trust. Maybe not all, but I'm betting some of those are right.
I just read about this festival. The early bird tickets through SCI are only $208. I figure that if it comes down to it and I can't go, I can easily sale it in a few months.
From reading the site there will be 2 main stages opposite of each other and 1 band playing after the other.
I haven't been able to make Hangout or Wanee like I planned to this year- which I was upset about. Then I see this fest pop up out of the blue (at least to me). It looks like Karma has shown its good side to me. I know if I would've made it to either one of those fest I wouldn't have been able to make Interlocken. And this fest looks to be the best of em all!
Hopefully once September comes along I will be able to go!

Oh man, this could get really good. Add Umphreys and Warren Haynes in some form and I am good to go. This is great.

This is way more expensive that I thought it would be, there's just no way I can make this happen. Do any of you guys have a sense if they'll do single-days or if NYCH or Furthur will do other east coast dates? Neil hit northern Va in the fall, so I'm not holding my breath he plays anywhere north of Interlocken, but I can hope I guess.
ohhhh heeetttttiiii. My point was that you'd have to back out of that for this fest. But if you didn't have to buy a ticket, I guess it's not really an issue for ya.

I mean I do want to go hang with Maiden, but this shit seems to be off the hook.

I want to do this fest, but I don't want to miss Maiden for it.
