This is the sickest lineup I have seen in years...trying to convince myself it is do-able but mid semester and 8 hours away just doesn't seem possible...
It's early, but does anyone know if it is going to be streaming? I think the only way I can catch this is to couch tour it
I just read about this festival. The early bird tickets through SCI are only $208. I figure that if it comes down to it and I can't go, I can easily sale it in a few months.
From reading the site there will be 2 main stages opposite of each other and 1 band playing after the other.
I haven't been able to make Hangout or Wanee like I planned to this year- which I was upset about. Then I see this fest pop up out of the blue (at least to me). It looks like Karma has shown its good side to me. I know if I would've made it to either one of those fest I wouldn't have been able to make Interlocken. And this fest looks to be the best of em all!
Hopefully once September comes along I will be able to go!
Same here. Due to one bad thing after another, I couldn't afford to go to a fest this summer, but then Interlocken gets announced! Totally was meant to happen this way.

Let's play "check their availability":
Bela Fleck - Playing a show in Massachusetts August 29 and Brevard NC September 14. Not only is this on the way but he's something of a local. Outlook: Favorable.
Allman Brothers Band & Grace Potter - Playing VA Beach on September 4 but playing Massachusetts on September 6. This could go either way. Outlook: 50-50.

Who else?
Not looking but if they added Keller and Yonder I wouldn't care if Limp Bizkut played every other slot with ICP sitting in.

I'm not going to get my hopes up for anything right now. I almost think the Allmans are avoiding other fests because they have their own. I'd love to see them there though.
I caught a glimpse of this thread when it was made but didn't pay much attention to it. One of my friends tweeted at some folks to see if we wanted to go, so I checked the lineup and FUCK YES I AM IN. Making it from Northwest Arkansas is going to be a bitch, but worth it imo.
They said that if the pace continued early bird would sell out at noon. It's the first of this festival, so I kinda doubt early bird or any tickets sell out too quickly, but at the same time with the lineup I can see them going fast. What are yall's thoughts? I just have to hold off on buying a ticket, probably until after Roo, but I have no problem buying upper tier tickets or doing payment plan.

I'm hoping to be able to do this. I already have some friends that committed and bought tickets, but it is more expensive than I would have thought. Curious to see how the rest of the lineup fills out, but I'd like to be able to go.
fogerty! hell yeah I want to check this out. with the price tag my hopes are pretty damn high as far as the rest of the line-up goes, but I've already got work off
Man, this just seems too good to miss. I've always said if I won the lottery and could promote a fest, this is the format I would have. I was fortunate enough to do the first 'Roo....this feels like that.
I am disappointed in the VIP offering....for 6 bones they're not offering food, booze or shaded camping which are pretty standard in the VIP world. Has anyone ever been to this place to have an idea of the set up/layout?

Thanks for the link. There is a lot of good advice in that Good Luck Tantra Totem. I'm really looking forward to discovering this first time fest with everyone that will be attending. Plus this will be the farthest east and north I've ever traveled in this great land. I have no idea how I am getting there yet, but I'm going.
Everyone stop! Never do anything new again. This was a hoax!
Silly girl! Don't you know only a few self righteous are allowed to dispense their actual opinion or sense of humor here. Sheesh! Do you think this is a public message board that you are willingly posting on?
Remember , you may only post if it's 100% positive or 100% asinine. Don't leave anything up for interpretation or speculation.
I find myself agreeing with jugs here. Chill out buddy. Your holier than thou "advice" should be kept to yourself.
Also, glowsticks are awesome. Party pooper.
It's rarely advice an more an opinion. And I actually agree with you: FAR more people should keep theirs to themselves. That being said; people rarely display the quality of taking their own advice.

The age cutoff exists because there are people like me, who are over 25, have graduated college, but still have their student ID and would totally use it to get a cheap ticket.
