So round two of Boston Calling will probably win out. Not necessarily because I want to be there more, but I am not sure if this is feasible to begin with- I have to conserve vacation days (that would only take half a day vs 3+ for this) most importantly. It's closer and it'll be a relatively cheap weekend for me...
Welcome back Bonz, but I do not find it strange that your presence being requested in the Orgy thread and then you showing up, like it was the quacking Bonzai Bat Signal.

According to Interlocken Facebook, they are announcing more artists soon, so it's going to get awesomer even.
Now we just need some umph, tribe, and biscuits for late nights in the additions to round it out perfectly. I really want the biscuits on this, been too long since I've had a chance to see them. That said I'm happy enough with what we already know to lock in for this fest. 5 headliners playing multiple nights... so much awesome.

Umphrey's...that's fine. I can do without the Biscuits or STS9. Just personal taste. Lotus would be fine.
Read on another forum that Black Keys and Tedeschi Trucks Band (probably Allman Brothers too) are confirmed. Surely we'll be getting a lineup addition announcement soon since tix are selling well, right?!

Woohoo! I haven't been on here since 2010 (I think) when I last went to Roo! I am so stinking excited for Interlocken! I bought my ticket during the pre-sale! I drive by this farm on the way to my parent's house and I used to hang out in Lovingston (closest town to Oak Ridge Farm) when an ex's mom lived there years ago. The farm is beautiful and there is a gas station, food lion, subway, dollar store, chinese restaurant, and a few other things in a shopping center less than 10 minutes from the farm. Should make for easy ice/gas runs if anyone feels so inclined.

You are RUINING my day
It made me sad to announce a other chance I COULD have seen you on the upside, BC is a maybe again. MOEMS is 100% but maybe I could combine it with a trip to my sisters...

Umphrey's McGee is playing Wolftrap in Vienna, VA on September 1 with no dates during the festival announced, so that one is quite possible.
Tedeschi Trucks Band is touring with Black Crowes with no dates announced within a week either way of the festival, so this one is also possible.
Black Keys have nothing announced after July 13, so who knows? I agree that this is a pretty big act to announce so late, if selling tickets (especially VIP) early is a goal.

If the Black Keys do end up playing then I will end up selling my tickets for them in July in Raleigh. It won't bother me, because I know I can make a profit on Stubhub, and I won't think twice about committing to the festival.
I'm already on the verge, as I can get the student discount and I am really wanting to see Neil Youngs extended set. Waiting for the additions though.

Everyone keeps referring to NY&CH's performance as an extende set. There is nothing I've seen that advertises it as this. Crazy Horse sets have never been short on jamming though and I think their '03 Roo set was something like 8 songs stretched out over 3 + hours. I will be interested to see how the schedule for this fest looks since they say another band will start on the opposite main stage as soon as another finishes. I want to see how late the scheduled start times will be and how strict the set times will be enforced. I remember watching the DVD of one of the first Bonnaroo's and Mule started late because Warren was too busy jamming with Claypool while his golf cart driver waited in the wings.
"In other news, Interlocken has confirmed that The Black Crowes will perform two shows during the festival, while The String Cheese Incident will play on two of the event’s four days. One of those shows will feature the debut collaboration of the Zac Brown Incident, a one-time-only collaboration with country/jam star Zac Brown. Neil Young will also perform an extended set with Crazy Horse. Additional acts will be confirmed in the coming weeks."
Man, this is my kind of festival, but it's a 10 hour drive from NW Ala. The gas up and back would cost as much as a ticket. Gonna be some nice shows to tape at this one.
The way this thing is going we should expect ABB and Phish to be added shortly....throw in Pearl Jam, The Tragically Hip and The Black Keys for some rock.
Given the promoters background, I expect some more WHORDE bands...Blues Traveler, Big Head Todd, Ben Harper.....

I wonder if someone heard "Black Crowes" and thought "Black Keys." The Black Keys are headliner material at this point, so it'd be a stretch to see them on this lineup in a subheadliner spot.
The guy who said it heard it from a friend who's a "higher up that works at a magazine that will remain unnamed". He seemed pretty confident in it, but you never know about these things...

I spot Govt Mule in the upper left corner (1st pic above).
Edit: Also spot "WAR" in the 2nd picture, bottom right quadrant, but who knows with three-letter-word band names. If someone spots "Can" you'll get a chuckle out of me.
A couple of lines from the second one repeat in the third one. Don't what it means. One of them has the black crowes backwards, but I don't see anything in the second one I noticed.

Warren is insane....he's got one day off from ABB and he's going to travel and do two shows....I love him with ABB, wish I liked his stuff more....but does anyone in music play more than this guy!?
Warren seemed like a given for this festival seeing that he loves to sit in with every jamband in the universe! Wish they would have announced other bands that weren't so predictable...
