Yeah there hasn't been any word on that cover set yet. You hear anything confirming yet noname?
I haven't heard any more since my first post. Frontman Trevor has been posting "rage" on social media, and they've confirmed a cover set at atleast 1 fest (I'll have to look up which one). Infinitypass also confirmed this for us. Again tho, haven't heard anything in a bit, I guess things can always change? I still think it's on like donkey kong.
This supposed "second set" is probably in the groove for VIP people. Otherwise, wouldn't it say (2 sets) by their name on the lineup like it did with SCI a couple of years ago?
Mmm, nope, that would make the previously mentioned "fan vote" pointless. It's supposed to be a surprise then fan vote, so it all pretty much makes sense with what I've said and what's happening.
We've asked Trevor about the rage set and he's all but said yes without saying it. Told him we heard there was a special set planned and he said yes. Asked if it was rage and he laughed and said he couldn't say anything right now. So take that for what you want.
Has it been confirmed that there will be a Boom Boom headliner opposite the main stage headliner every night or is there still a possibility that it is just one of the three nights like the last time they did this?

All 3 days have 12+ acts I would like to see. Saturday is going to be a gigantic mess with conflicts. At least the crowd will be spread out. So who plays the tent against the killers? Flips or beet roots? So Sunday JJ into outkast- polar opposites but completely awesome. Friday has Queens- so that day is good itself. Queens play as Chevy closer. Who plays in sub headlining spot on main stage?

Saturday conflicts are going to suckkkkkkkkkk.
Nope. Not confirmed. They have permission for 3 nights, but haven't said anything specific.
Well. That would blow balls. Now if they wanna put Queens vs Black Keys I got no problem with that. I hope theyre not trying to go the Lolla route with competing headliners on oppo ends. That's nice in some respect but Hangout doesn't have the card size that Lolla does.
Well going off his other confirm, is he saying PLights would be in the tent? I feel like that crowd would be too big. Unless STS9 is closing the Chevy at the same time as the Keys?
I can't tell if it's far enough away. Feels like it when you're out there walking on the sand. But again, if that's the case, PLights in the Boom BOOm sounds a little ridiculous.
I agree the Boom Boom Tent will be packed during HL shows, but the new angle of the tent plus the competition of a headliner should keep it tolerable (I hope).
Also, I dread the potential conflicts of Saturday, but I just considered the idea of a marathon Saturday> dragging myself to Reignwolf/Andrew WK early Sunday> rebooting (JayJ included) until emptying the tank at Outkast. Can. Not. Wait.
I would expect that PL would get the same treatment that Bassnectar got last year with the full light rig on the beach at sunset. If they are going to do tent opposing headliners, possible larger tent last year?

Actually, PL in the tent makes sense. It would explain how we have PL, MM and FLips all on the same day. And it would explain Wiz Khalifa and Childish Gambino both playing Friday, when we assumed those would be the tent headliners.

So PL v The Killers seems wrong. For a 35,000 person fest, pitting those two against each other is stupid. Both of those acts could hold down over half of the crowd. I hate this, I hope you folks have gotten bad intel. Oh well, the beach will win every time- The Killers it is!
