Pitting the 2 best light shows against each other would be the biggest fail in hangout history. I don't buy it
...my only hesitation is that my friend is dyslexic(seriously), but i'll kangfirm asap....he also said Sts9 vs Keys btw.
...so the artists received full schedules yesterday. a friend of mine was with a guy who is playing the fest and got a quick look. so again, he thinks he saw sts9 and PL in the tent vs the keys & killers. he had not seen the daily list yet and I asked about a couple of undercards and they matched up.
id like to see PL with the full band and i dont know anything about STS9 so im cool if they compete to open up room for Keys and Killers. Just as long as Bloody Beetroots and Gambino are not competiting with the headliners im cool.
the HO post said we would get the full schedule in a few weeks so should we aassume 2 weeks?

No offense man but this seems like a long sketchy connection. I'm not convinced by some dyslexic guy who got a quick look from some other guy in ? band. That's like the least specific source ever

I have an extra pair of Hangout Festival VIP tickets. I'll split them up if need be. $1,550 for the pair or $800 for one...This is over $250 less than current face value and less than what I paid...

The lack of specificity is intentional for obvious reasons. But, I assure you, the artists have a copy of the full schedule and my friend saw it. My personal confidence in what he thinks he saw (as far as the opposing headliner sets) is 85%. (As I posted long ago, this same guy has known when his band was going to play since just after the initial artist announcement.)

I am TOTALLY Good with that!!! I might have relaxed to PL if they played Sunday and no one I really wanted to see was playing at another stage but if this happens then I can chill at the main stage and rest/drink up for the daily closer

Do we really think any extra stage is gonna turn out well? An extra stage means more conflicts, and more conflicts means less value for your $. I hate this new stage already because I foresee that moon taxi and chance will be playing at the same time as someone bigger on the main stages. Fairly good with thinner crowds but I have a feeling the conflicts will be terrible this year.
I hope I am wrong but with Saturday the way it looks, it seems to be inevitable.

Suddenly Roo doesn't look so bad after Lolla. Even more ecstatic for Hangout now. They f*cked up like I didn't even think was possible for a fest their size.

That lineup's blowage level is through the roof. Yikes.

But Arctic and Rudimental!
Also, saw London Grammar here this past Sunday night. Fantastic. That girl's voice is something else.
Looks to me like The Hangout Fest is emerging as a premiere attraction within the festival sphere. With the inclusion of Ocean access this year, along with one of the hottest line-ups its bound to be packed with great moments.
Seriously though as a guy who's into more hard rock or just rock in general, Hangout did a great job this year and that's becoming more and more clear. Lolla is usually a go to for that and idk what happened this yr. I'm interested to see what Voodoo does. They traditionally skew towards that genre too and if that continues I gotta look into that next year. For christ's sake they had the Cure, NIN, and Pearl Jam.
First time going to Hangout, I have a group of 3/4 and was wondering if anyone was looking for a few more people to split a condo with or something. We are desperate for housing or advice on the best places to stay down there (seems most of the places are for 8+ people). Message me and we can chat it out.

Check out meyerre.com as they have a great selection of places of all sizes. If that doesn't fit your bill, try the Mobile area craigslist. I know some people will rent out smaller places (that they usually don't rent due to small size) there.
Also, for those considering coming into town early for HOMF or just gonna be in the area in the preceding weeks who don't follow 92ZEW closely (sadly, these people exist). All shows are FREE, feature some incredible bands, both HOMF alums and bands on the rise (check out Underhill Family Orchestra and Kaboom). 1 of the 6 locals will get a HOMF slot in our Reach For The Beach contest.
Shows happen on the stage in The Hangout courtyard. Hope to see ya there! I'm usually sipping a cold beverage at the bar by the foam machine....
The full day-by-day lineup for the fest won’t be released until Monday, April 7
On Friday, May 16, the STS9 will rock the Boom Boom Tent as The Black Keys play the Hangout Stage.
On Saturday, May 17, Pretty Lights will play in the tent, with The Killers on the Hangout Stage.
On Sunday, May 18, things work a little differently. Organizers have put Jack Johnson on the Chevy Stage at sunset. (Because if you have Jack Johnson and a beach and a sunset, that’s what you do.) After that, the focus shifts to the Hangout Stage, where hip-hop duo OutKast will close out the weekend.
Thanks mjj. Article later adds "O’Connell (festival director) said that when the full Hangout performance schedule comes out on April 7, it’ll pack some big names early in the day." Conflicts cometh.
Really wanted to see Pretty Lights this year too. Killers are an overwhelming easy choice for me on that one though. The one positive to that is I should be able to see the Bloody Beetroots easily. There's not many other bands on the Saturday card I'd pick over them, PLights and Killers were 2 of em. MM will be a tough choice too if they conflict.
