Hot Damn! I'm excited. This time tomorrow night I should be cruising through Louisville. It may sound silly but ish gets real at Cracker Barrel breakfast in Birmingham. See ya'll soon, or at least at Reignwolf.
Yeah I can't remember exactly how thoroughly they check; like will I be able to get by with my flask in my waistband? Are there metal detectors? etc.
No metal detectors. Seems to kind of depend on whether you pick the right line to get in. Most aren't bad, but there's definitely some hawks. I wouldn't say it's too tight tho... I'd bet on the flask in the waistband. I think the worst they would do to you for that is make you toss it.
^^^ this. My experience with festivals is that you typically want to find a guy. A guy that is doing a quick once over on bags. No pocket checks of course. There is also a time of day. Before 3 pm is typically better as it seems I always get checked harder after 3 pm. I would say hangout is pretty fair. More thorough than the big fests for sure but unless you are messin with your shorts they won't find it.

About 50 times....I never miss a Trombone Shorty set
i have decided to go see the first half hour of the People of the Sun set and then catch the ast half hour of Trombone Shorty. I really dont wanna miss either and the stages arent far apart so it should be an easy compromise. this was my only conflict where i couldnt justify missing one or the other.
Ok... Day was moving at first and now I can't stop thinking about this flight, and that beach, and the amount of fun I'm about to have. Ughhhhhhh. Get me outta hereeeee...

I have a load of beach towels in the washing machine. Swimsuits are after that (delicate cycle). My suitcase is down and my cat is napping in it. Hangout Mix CDs are burning and I'm having a beer. This is really happening tomorrow!
Again, have a great fest everyone. So sad I'm not on my way down now. On the plus side, almost all sites are open for booking next year so I am spending the day at work looking where I want to stay and daydreaming.
Anyone ever stay in Grand Beach? It's across the street on the east side but walking distance to the fest and prices are very reasonable for much larger condos. Hoping to bring a big group next year.
