Def sneakin booze in this year, I did it 2 years ago and it saved me a ton of money. Water bottle full of booze, mix it with those big lemonades they have there or a sprite or somethin, good to go. On a side note, we're supposed to have a high of 50 and a low in the 30's the day I leave Chicago for this fest. Good f*ckin riddance.
I came very close to springing for VIP this year. If my group loses another person I probably will next year so I can just lounge by the pool. The rest of the group can't afford the cost and while we're together its just as good to be out in the general admission
have already started talking about VIP for next year with a friend, that 700 for early bid is too good to pass up again considering how much i spend inside.

At this point, I think my whole group is going to Bastille. In the back of my mind, I know I can catch Reignwolf locally for dirt cheap and be close as sh*t, so I'm leaning Bastille now. Our group is also split right down the middle on MM/Beetroots, Killers/PLights, and Matt&Kim/Moon Taxi. Those 3 aren't as difficult for me though, I'm going Beetroots, Killers, Moon Taxi no doubt about it.
Matt and Kim/Trombone Shorty/Moon Taxi. im thinking of going to the first half of Taxi to get some Rage in and then finish off at Shorty.
also still undecided on Avetts vs St Paul. I did see St Paul like 6 weeks ago but the venue was crap for sound. Still leaning St Paul but it will be last minute i think.
RAC vs Bronze Radio Return is tough too but likely going with BRR
Not gonna lie, it'll save so much time and energy flying both ways this year, but there is that missing excitement you get when you drive down. Driving 14 hrs from Chicago through the night on Wednesday, seeing the sun rise usually as we pass through Birmingham, getting goosebumps right now just thinking about it. There's like a feeling of accomplishment amongst the group. And then its on.

SO NEED HELP, THIS IS MY 3RD HANGOUT 2ND AND 3RD YEAR I WENT AND LOVED IT! I AM GOING TO BE THERE SATURDAY MORNING LIKE 10 OR 11. I KNOW IN THE PAST IT IS EASY TO SCALP TICKETS. WHAT DO YALL THINK THE SITUATION WOLD BE TO GET 2 CHEAP TICKETS ON SATURDAY OUTSIDE THE FEST????? PLEASE HELP ME

How is security at the festival entrance? Trying to sneak booze in
Yeah I can't remember exactly how thoroughly they check; like will I be able to get by with my flask in my waistband? Are there metal detectors? etc.
No metal detectors. Seems to kind of depend on whether you pick the right line to get in. Most aren't bad, but there's definitely some hawks. I wouldn't say it's too tight tho... I'd bet on the flask in the waistband. I think the worst they would do to you for that is make you toss it.
