I saw. Serious question: do you have a source saying Hangout? Because everything I've heard has always stated 3 fests for Outkast, and we now have the three.
I agree zaj. Hangout (despite it's vibe) needs some more rockin' options. YYYs was more than necessary last year. QOTSA is a great start, but hopefully there's more to come.
If we didn't get Outkast and we got Pearl Jam instead I would be 100% okay with that. They're a top 5 band for me and seeing them on the beach would make up for sitting through Jack Johnson too.

There are two sides to the "Outkast at Hangout" argument. Everything that Flanz is saying is true. @gambit88 knows someone with some inside information. He called Coachella and Governors Ball. Coachella was common knowledge at the time, but Governors Ball was not. His source said that Outkast was only playing three festivals, Coachella, Governors Ball, and CounterPoint. That means no Hangout.
The other side to the argument is that infinitypass says they are playing. He called Billy Idol and R Kelly at Bonnaroo before anyone had mentioned them last year, and the Big Ears lineup from this year before it was announced. He also said a few hours in advance that the Coachella lineup would be coming out last night. He hardly ever posts, and when he does he always correctly predicts something.
If I had to guess, I would say things changed since @gambit88 talked to his friend, and Outkast has since been talked into playing Hangout like infinitypass says. This way they would both be correct. (Meaning that @gambit88 WAS correct, but things have since changed, and infinitypass is correct, and Outkast will be playing Hangout.) Both guys seem to know stuff and be trustworthy. It all comes down to whose information you trust the most.

You guys are forgetting that video where Capitol Cities talked about Outkast playing Hangout, which is a real thing that I saw.

I'm not on either side of this because I admittedly do not have enough information to really form an opinion. Using launchpad's source as justification that Outkast is in fact only play 3 fests is kinda not the best way of being sure about this (I saw the screenshot). I mean, that guy that he talked to regarding gov's ball could have just been only told those at that point in time and they could be playing more. And on the flipside, the people in here that are claiming that Outkast will be playing Hangout have not presented anyone with any information regarding their source so it is obviously just a wait and find out kind of deal unless they have digital proof like quack did and can PM a mod for verification. I really don't care though. I would love for Outkast to be on there, but I also have doubts about it...despite knowing everydayperson, him being so sure that they are, and knowing that he nailed the DeLuna headliners in 2012. So yeah, there's no reason to really argue about this. We'll find out wednesday.

I'm just bored, to be honest. But it isn't just Launchpad's source, the sources that were pushing Outkast at Coach were also saying the same thing. It was always "Coachella, Counterpoint, and some other festival no one can figure out."
