Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
sending prayers and positive thoughts to you guys! I'm not super crafty but my daughter has made paracord bracelets and donated the profits to our local child abuse center before, and I'm sure she would love to make more to help out. I'll keep an eye out for the craft/donation thread for sure. in the meantime, I hope all the love and good vibes from everyone on this board are being felt in a big way!
Wow, this is the second person today that I found out is battling the big "C". Here's to fighting the good fight, oh the hell with that, Here's to kicking its A$$ anyhow, anyway. The entire Inforoo community is with you Whoreshack. Sending good vibes your way. Ps: I'm looking forward to meeting you at Brunch this year.
Damn. Whoreshack was the first person off the boards I knew and he's been kind enough on a few sperate occasions to offer me a place to crash, beer to drink, food to eat, even a place to play music. Same for LLL! Two of the most kind, generous, and all around awesome people I know. So much love going out to you two and your families. If you guys ever need anything I'm right down the road!
Same here. Whoreshack was the first person on this board I met IRL (not at Bonnaroo) when he provided me a place to stay, amazing food, booze & company at Boomslang last year. It was one of the highlights of 2012 for me. Whoreshack truly is one of the good ones. Mike if your reading this seriously ANYTHING A N Y T H I N G I can do or provide I will be honored to give. LLL I don't think we've actually met IRL but same goes for you. Anything and everything at my disposal if y'all need it.

Quack cancer. I don't post much, but I lurk often. Both of these folks give a lot to this board, and it sounds like they live much the same. My heart, well wishes and positive Bonnaroo vibes go out to you <3 And to everyone else who has to deal with a diagnosis such as this.
Now if you'll excuse me, I'm going to go on an overnight drunk, and in 10 days I'm going to set out to find the shark that ate my friend and destroy it. Anyone who wants to tag along is more than welcome.
I don't know you but my heart breaks for you all. I hope this is one of those times in a year WS and LLL are telling the story about how he turned the corner on this.
I love this quote. With all of my heart I want this to be so. And we are going to do what we can to make this happen. If anyone has some experience or knowledge of Esophageal Cancer, please do share. We are looking at alternative treatments as well. Sometimes Mother Nature knows best.
Mike is going to try to make Roo, and any other activities we had planned for this summer, as long as he is feeling up to it. We have had to skip a few, we have added some others. It means so much to him to be able to get out and forget about this for awhile. It is so easy to lose yourself to something like this. And we want to make the most of every moment. Life is full of all kinds of twists and turns and banana peels that lay you out on your ass. And we don't always get fair warning about it. Here's to squeezing every last drop of wonderful out of it all.
We're all a mess of paradoxes. Believing in things we know can't be true. We walk around carrying feelings too complicated and contradictory to express. But when it all becomes too big, and words aren't enough to help get it all out, there's always music.
This is where this thread needs to go as we travel this road together. Sunflowers, smiles, and support.
Aww, this made me smile through the tears of reading this all. I may have shared this already, buy shortly after we met, Mike and I started a "F*ck-It List". Our version of a bucket list for life. Airstreams, writing poetry, trips etc etc. And planting sunflowers everywhere we go, to give people something to smile about. Since spring has sprung, we've planted them in Lexington and at Red River Gorge. We'll be planting some this weekend in Thornville at Dark Star Jubilee. He came up with that idea because my and his mother's favorite flowers are sunflowers. That's how great he is.

You guys were the first of Inforoo that I met and made me feel at home. I'm so glad you two not only made it to Memphis but made the most out of it. This news saddens me but one thing I could tell about Mike when I met him was that he's a fighter. Always had a smile on his face and a bloody pad on his finger. You two are in my thoughts and prayers and thank you for not making me feel like a noob. Stay strong Mike. Keep the positivity going for him Angela. You two are awesome people and there's no doubt in my mind that you will make it through this. Together.

It may have been mentioned. There may already be 2 lbs of bulk sunflowers seeds enroute, destined to be put in small cloth pouches and mailed to everyone that would like to plant them, as well as send a bunch to LLL and Mike to give away in their travels? .
Now the question is 'Team Whoreshack' - what simple design, that can be stenciled or complex design that someone talented can make into a stencil, should be painted on each bag of seeds? Since this will be in bulk, the design needs to be something that can be painted relatively quickly. If you have thoughts/designs please post here.
Echoing the sentiment others have shared... Whoreshack, LoveLuckLaughter, and WS's daughter, you are all in my thoughts and wishes for healing. We're in your corner Whoreshack. If there is any support you need please don't hesitate to let us know.

Well you two are just beautiful awesome people than aren't you? I've never met either of you but reading these stories and seeing your pictures makes me happy.
As someone who has not met you, i am still extremely saddened by this news. As this thread is indicating you are some wonderful people and have the support of an entire community behind you. I wish you nothing but the best through this tough time. All my thoughts and prayers are to you and absolutely anything i can do to help. I want to start planting Sunflowers in honor of you two lovely people
I love the sunflower seed idea. There is so much love and positive energy flowing through this thread. This is what we (Inforoo) are all about as a community. Be warned, Cancer. Don't f*ck with one of ours. We'll fight back.
Bring on the designs for the sunflower seed packets please!! : )
An administrative note from QSAROO. QSAROO is a 'shared' account. When PM'ing, we try to be sure to sign our notes so you know which of us are responding. I am very very happy to say that our fabulous Custeph will not only be representing at Brunch for QSAROO, she will also be helping to keep our PM correspondence timely. So you will start seeing a new signature if you are Pming Qsaroo.
I am so sorry to hear this, whoreshack. I, too, hope that one day you'll be able to say "remember when I had cancer?" I know you are surrounded by love and support but please don't be afraid to ask for more if you ever feel alone.
I am so sad to hear this news. As many others have said, WS is one of my favorite posters here, and I've been looking forward to meeting him, as well as LLL, at Roo this year.
I'm sending many positive thoughts and healing vibes your way. Can't wait to give you and LLL a big hug.
I will see if there is anything crafty I can whip up to donate to the cause. I wish there was something more significant I could do. Cancer is affecting too many of our young ones.
I don't think I've met Whoreshack yet. Might have briefly at Roo or Forecastle last year, can't remember.
LoveLuckLaughter / Angie however is one of my favorite people on Inforoo. Good friend to have, and ignoring that whole being a Yankee fan thing she is a really awesome person.
So yea, much love and good thoughts for you two. I hope to see you both at Solid Sound next month. (You two still plan on going right? Cause I might buy the Sunday ticket off Katy Mae if yes.)
Fuck cancer indeed. I can not urge you strongly enough to get a second opinion and investigate all of your treatment options. I was stage 3 when I was diagnosed with BC so I have been there. Chemotherapy is an incredibly powerful tool and depending on where you're distant sites are may give months or even years of life you didn't expect to have. I send all the love and peace and healing vibes I can but I also send a heaping dose of righteous indignation, pugnaciousness and just plain anger. I've been there twice, so if I can be of ANY help please message me.

Fawn is an amazing woman. I know everyone already knows this, but it cannot be said enough. That is the greatest idea ever. And so thoughtful.

Damn! It is those radical, rebellious, nasty, Ninja, cancer cells. Well Quack them! You got this Whoreshack! You can and will beat this. If I come off as happy, over confident, BS guy, then good, because I believe to beat this, our thoughts and how we approach this fight can be won or lost depending on what we believe can happen and I for one believe Cancer is beatable.
Our bodies have the factories and machinery to eat and destroy Cancer, but just not enough of them, if we build up out arsenal of T-cell and like, we can breakdown and destroy a tumor, with out the help of Chemo or radiation.
