I'm a little cry-baby when it comes to talking about this due to personal experience so I can't say much. Just reading a few posts made me tear up. I know it can be a very tough battle. My thoughts and best wishes are with you. I know it's not an easy time but try to just enjoy the little things and remember to smile at all of lifes' trials. remember that you have so many people here willing to help and support you regardless!!! <3 much love xxoo
I don't know you but my heart breaks for you all. I hope this is one of those times in a year WS and LLL are telling the story about how he turned the corner on this.
I love this quote. With all of my heart I want this to be so. And we are going to do what we can to make this happen. If anyone has some experience or knowledge of Esophageal Cancer, please do share. We are looking at alternative treatments as well. Sometimes Mother Nature knows best.
Mike is going to try to make Roo, and any other activities we had planned for this summer, as long as he is feeling up to it. We have had to skip a few, we have added some others. It means so much to him to be able to get out and forget about this for awhile. It is so easy to lose yourself to something like this. And we want to make the most of every moment. Life is full of all kinds of twists and turns and banana peels that lay you out on your ass. And we don't always get fair warning about it. Here's to squeezing every last drop of wonderful out of it all.
Now some levity to balance the gravity.
For many years Mike avoided the Internet. An unplugged, dusty, outdated PC computer laid sideways in a corner of his living room. he would occasionally grunt in its direction and walk away scratching his belly. But eventually the steady hands of time forced some progress into Mikes life and he discovered the on switch, the Internet and finally inforoo!!!
Since then he has exceeded my posts by leaps and bounds and he tells me I should post more often, so here I am, and I want to share Mike's appreciation for all the good vibes, well wishes and concern. Mike's hangin in there and concentrating on getting better and staying positive.
We've been going to roo since '03 so this year isn't gonna be any different and I can't wait to see you all on the farm. Keep sending positive vibes, and any prayers you can muster, his direction.
It may have been mentioned. There may already be 2 lbs of bulk sunflowers seeds enroute, destined to be put in small cloth pouches and mailed to everyone that would like to plant them, as well as send a bunch to LLL and Mike to give away in their travels? .
Now the question is 'Team Whoreshack' - what simple design, that can be stenciled or complex design that someone talented can make into a stencil, should be painted on each bag of seeds? Since this will be in bulk, the design needs to be something that can be painted relatively quickly. If you have thoughts/designs please post here.
Fawn is an amazing woman. I know everyone already knows this, but it cannot be said enough. That is the greatest idea ever. And so thoughtful.
I met whoreshack at brunch last year, in all of his shirtless glory. He had a smile on his face, and when I introduced myself to him I tried to shake his hand, and I instead received a great big shirtless hug. I am so devastated to hear this news. Whoreshack, you are such a kind soul, and I'm going to keep you, LLL, and your family in the forefront of my thoughts, prayers, and good vibes. You're gonna get through this!!!

I just read this today and my thoughts and prayers are with you. We have never met, but cancer has deeply impacted my life and I feel for you and your family as you battle this. Nearly 10 years ago my father was in hospice care with stage four cancer with less than six months. He is still kicking nearly a decade later. A little rough around the edges but proof that the battle can be won
Always terrible news when someone has to face this adversity, but it's also a chance to show true bravery and resiliency. Though we've never met, I can tell from all of the love and support here, that you'll face this challenge head on and show us all the strongest of wills. My prayers are with you in your fight whoreshack.
I've never met you...but feel as I know you. You are one of those who post here that make everyone feel welcomed...and my wish is that some of that good karma will come back to you and your family, Whoreshack....chin up!!

So I cried today, Today of all days, I cried. I just read the thread above and the tears streamed down my face. My girlfriend looked at me as she walked in the door and knew something was wrong. So I told her...
A fellow Pondo Army Member who is amazing humorous, Kentucky loving, musically inspiring and an all-around good person has cancer. And then I told her the words that she said others needed to hear.
"Whoreshack will beat this because we love him too much"
Whatever you need, let ME US know. YOU CAN DO THIS. YOU ARE NOT ALONE. AN ENTIRE ARMY IS AT YOUR DISPOSAL.
As long as their is a breath in my body, I will try to help you my friend.
I am camping in Access this year. If you need a place close to Centeroo to sit, rest, sleep, relax or whatever, my camping area is there for you.
I will say prayers daily for both Whoreshack and LLL. You both are the best of us.

I know not everyone here sees things the same way, nevertheless please keep the prayers coming...
Matthew 18:20 For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.
I'm not a religious person per se but I most definitely believe in miracles and magic. Hardly an hour has passed since I read the news where my thoughts don't turn to Whoreshack, his daughter and LLL and I offer up a little prayer for them from the bottom of my heart.

So many good vibes, thoughts, hugs, wishes are heading your way Whoreshack, Angie, and Mike's daughter. I love and support all of you and I'm ready to do ANYTHING and EVERYTHING I can to do, now and forever. Fuck cancer, leave our whore alone!
Echoing what has already been said, Mike, Angie and Mike's daughter, we all are here for every step of the way. We love you guys with all our hearts. Every thought is with the three of you.
Welcome back Bonz, but I do not find it strange that your presence being requested in the Orgy thread and then you showing up, like it was the quacking Bonzai Bat Signal.
We're all a mess of paradoxes. Believing in things we know can't be true. We walk around carrying feelings too complicated and contradictory to express. But when it all becomes too big, and words aren't enough to help get it all out, there's always music.

Just an update. Mike goes in for a procedure tomorrow. To help him be able to take in nutrition while radiation is going on, because it can cause some swelling and soreness. They keep on postponing things, it is getting a little frustrating. But we want them to get this right, so be it. On Monday treatments are scheduled to begin. Good vibes, prayers, Harry Potter style magic potions....whatever ya got, all needed, as the treatments will be intense and taxing.
Also, anyone in the Lexington area. I can't say enough about this company, and I recommend them to everyone. They are making up some fresh, custom juices with cancer fighting properties for Mike. And they deliver to people in Lexington. Such a great company.

Healthy thoughts and Good vibes to you and your family during this tough time. Everything happens for a reason and as much as I hate that cliche it is without a doubt 100% true.
"I saw your threads on inforoo and I was moved by his situation and your generosity. So I felt I should chip in with a donation. Best wishes to you and whoreshack and your respective families. I didn't think anything about Roo could top the fact that Bjork is coming, but your altruism has done it!"
