I just got confirmation for artist pass' (tertiary) for me and my friends. Anyone know what this means for bonnaroo? I had one for Outsidelands last year, but bonnaroo seems to be more complex. We'll be staying in the guest parking, but I'm really not sure as to where I'll be able to go. I'm planning on spending a majority of time in the GA (more fun) but it would be really awesome if I was able to run to the open bar every once in a while and grab a drink. Anyone with inforoo?

My wife and I had Artist wristbands last year. Its pretty quacking magical. Enjoy! You have access to artist lounges, there is an excellent open bar. We were able to access side stage on the main stage for everyone but Radiohead last year. We werent really turned down anywhere we tried to go with the artist bands.

I had an artist pass in 2008. I didn't get it till after my friend's band left so I didn't use it as much as I could have. Basically just used it for the tent acts. The main problem with those viewing areas it that they're side stage and the sound is awful. It's fun to be that close though so it's a trade off.
If you find you don't like using it, you know where to PM me!
You scored. You'll get as much free booze as you want and can take them to the shows with you as well. Viewing access in the cuts at all the tents and in the pit for the two stages. The only lines you'll wait in all weekend are the open bar line and the line to get side-stage on the main stage. And the best part is the crawfish broil after the last notes are played on Sunday night. Enjoy.

So, my friend and I also have Credentials stated as Artist(Secondary) ... is this the same way all of yours were obtained? and also do we camp somewhere that isn't GA?

Thank you for everything. Piecing everything together from what I've heard and seen, If you get an artist wristband that you have to pick up at the hotel, you're getting the hook-up.
Some guest camping is stage left of the Which Stage, near the comedy/cinema area, behind wooden barriers. I know there are scattered other areas allocated for guest/artist camping as well. You could camp GA if you wanted though.
Artist pass is the best pass you can have, it's one step below the Infinity pass - which is super, super all-access, and I will get that pass before I die!!!
Guest camping is the BEST at Roo. It is conveniently located right behind the Which Stage, which really helps you get to any of the stages. You can wander through the back roads to get to all of the stages quicker, rather than having to push through a sea of people. I think it was two years ago they extended guest camping into a wooded section that has trees which is great for shade. There, the vibe is a lot like GA, however, very isolated and spread out. I would recommend camping in the fenced in area for Guest, to save time, and roam the GA when you can.
Different artist passes give you different access. In years past, they all pretty much worked the same, because they were laminates. But now, Artist passes are wristbands, that have a chip in them. Depending on the artist you got it from (or if you are the artist yourself) determines how far you can go. For instance if your friend is playing Solar Stage, you'll have limited access. But if you're somehow friends with Iggy Pop, you'll go far~~~~~~~
I had the most insane Artist Pass last year that lead me alllll the way to Bon Iver and Phish's backstage dressing room. It was INSANE! I was literally allowed to walk right up to their fucking dressing room. And I did. Nuts.
Don't be afraid to go for it, try things out. You are allowed to be on the side stage for some of the shows. I don't agree that the sounds is worse. I say try both out. One of the best perks, besides the free booze and free food, is the ability to the meet bands. Don't be a douche and beg for a photo or interrupt them if they're with family. Give them time to breathe after their set, they're usually soaking wet from sweat. Go early before sets, get on the side stage, or make your way backstage. If you act like you're supposed to be there, no one asks questions. And technically you're allowed to be there. Enjoy, have fun. Hit me up if you have any more questions. I could go on and on.

I do know that artists get given stickers they can pass out to give awesome but limited access. They only cover certain days of the fest. Usually the day the artist plays. Those stickers usually dont let you into the artist lounge areas. I know the bands we got were right off of an artists wrists and I think your access does depend on which stage the act is playing. Our friends act was mainstage so that might be why we had super duper awesome access.
Hmm. You know what Catman? Maybe I was being a bit hasty there, uh, when I said I didn't love you. Perhaps now in this light with you in the tu-tu and the water playing off your... seaweed. Maybe I could love you. Maybe I was lying because when you do love someone sometimes you say you don't because you're playing hard to get, playing a game.
