anyways, very long days and so tired but on friday as we were waiting for parent pickups, one of the little boys asked me if i would come to his house and play. he was so sincere and really just wanted me to come and be with his family. it was so fucking adorable. moments like that reminded me why i love taking care of those boogers. <3

This week is going to suck ass.
First week of class. Campus/traffic will be a nightmare. First week of "GA office hours", in which we have to be in the main office for a few hours a week to either help faculty or work on our own school work. It's not a set number, it's just there so our director knows we are keeping up with the program. We will have a few that will be somewhat competitive with it by keeping track (who the first one in is and last to leave). That usually stops around the time the professors themselves quit caring about how long they're in the office. Have to work club-fair on Friday, and Saturday I get to attend a wedding that I know all of 4 people at.
Omg, I CANNOT STAND by current night shift. He's a racist, know-it-all, pathological liar.
I had been getting along great with my former night shift, but due to the downturn in the oil industry, jobs are scarce and they're switching a few people in and out for some hours. So they pulled my former night shift, and gave me this piece of shit. Apparently, they want me to evaluate him as well, and give my honest feedback on him.
Little back story, he's mudlogged for 15 years, but was new to my company a few months ago. They sent him out here for me to train on our equipment/software. He was only out here for a day, but I knew INSTANTLY that I didn't like him and hoped I'd never see him again. Well, he's back now
Yesterday ended with both us yelling at each other.
For those that have met me, you know I'm a pretty chill guy. Takes a lot to get me to that point. But once I'm there, fuck you, you don't get my trust/empathy/anything back.
Called my boss yesterday, and gave him the straight shit. Told him he's a racist asshole, that will only fester like a wound in the company. Told him I can't work with him, and it's a mistake to invest any more time/money into him. Supposedly I'm getting someone sent down in the next day or two, but it can't come soon enough.
Just for a taste of how great this guy is, within 15 of minutes of getting here for his shift (which he was 30 minutes late to), he tells me he has to go see his probation officer in Galveston (6.5 hour drive) on Wednesday. Apparently there's a real chance he could be arrested when he shows up. He has 3 DUI's, and has a breathalyzer in his car. Initially, he told he thought he might fail, so he stood out of the car (there's a camera that takes pics of who blows) and proceeded to blow a 0.04. Under the legal limit, but above the zero tolerance policy that he has. So the car goes into lockout mode.
Now, when the story is retold, he believes he didn't get the car into lock out mode, his wife did just to mess with him. This is the same wife he told me he filed for divorce with last month. But I think that's something that's happened before, they both just keep threatening each other with it. But they're both so fucked up, they actually enjoy the dysfunctional hellscape their relationship is.
He was supposed to call our office and let them know, so they could have someone on standby in case he WAS arrested when he showed up. He never mentions it to them at all, just that he had to see his probation officer, nothing more.
How do I know he's racist? Within an hour of meeting me the first time a few months ago, he proceeds to tell me part of the story of the last job he worked at his last company. In telling the story, he says, "Well, you know how black guys are. Always acting like they know everything and never listening." Fucking hell. He drops it quickly, once he sees I don't share those same "views of heritage" as he does.
After our blowup yesterday, I just got in my car to drive off location to chill out. When I get back, he tries going into this sob story of how he needs the job, and he doesn't want there to be any bad air between us. Too late motherfucker, you're dead to me.
And he's crazy enough, I'm actually worrying about my property when he gets the call to leave location. Going to put my laptop in my car, just in case. No telling what this shitbag may do.

Just so everyone knows, Rothric is a big ole teddy bear. Like linebacker big.
Me and him at Elton John in 2014 had people stepping on us and he was cool with it. We set up a glow stick walkway so they would stop, but still.
You piss this guy off, then you done screwed up.
Lets try and think of something fun Rothric can "do" for his awesome new coworker.

That sounds like a nightmare! I'm glad they took your words to heart and will be moving him elsewhere (or firing him?). I hope for your sake it happens sooner than later, and without any issues!
Less than two hours into my work week and I already have had my first spirited debate with my supervisor. It's gonna be a productive week.
Update: The debate was about a minor detail of the job that my supervisor feels I should have been doing in a different manner. It's fun because I've been doing it for almost four years without him saying anything and when he tried to tell me that everyone in the office did it in the different manner, I immediately was able to produce an example of my most experienced co-worker doing it the same way I did it. I then told him he should probably inform my co-worker of the way he wants things done. He asked to keep the file for a little longer to use it as an example when he explained it to the co-worker. A couple hours later, he brought the file back to me. Already knowing the answer, I went and asked my co-worker's opinion on the change. He proceeded to tell me that our supervisor had not been by to tell him anything about that change and moreover, he felt that the way we were doing things made a lot more sense. This irks the fuck out of me because it continues a trend where my supervisor holds this co-worker to a separate standard from myself and my other co-worker due to my supervisor not wanting to have discussions with this co-worker for whatever reason. I have some philosophical disagreements with this co-worker, but overall, I feel like he does great work and is always polite. He's just very confident in his knowledge on the subject and doesn't bend easily if he doesn't feel the rationale for doing something isn't sound. It's unfortunate that I feel the uneven treatment causes a divide between us to a certain extent. Mostly, I just wish my supervisor would get it together and supervise.
Back from a short vacation... fifteen bazillion e-mails to wade through, two urgent things that MUST BE COMPLETED NOW, and I have to give a training this afternoon that I forgot about. BLARGH.

Wooohooo! The asshole's gone!
Just left 5 minutes ago. A black could has been lifted.
And thankfully the office was able to get him out of here without it seeming like it was me. So didn't have to go through a massive blow up with him. He was playing super nice with me the past day, because he knew I'd had enough of his shit, and I wasn't taking anymore.
I don't actually wish that he gets arrested at his probation meeting, but I sure as shit wouldn't shed a tear if that's what happened. Dude's a terrible person.
I've blasting my music full blast, smiling ear to ear right now
I don't actually wish that he gets arrested at his probation meeting,
For the sake of everyone on the road, I do.
You're right, fuck that guy.
When lamenting about his current legal situation, he had the nerve to say, "Man, it's always this little shit that comes back to bite me in the ass!". I had to bite my tongue so hard to avoid saying, "Motherfucker, you got 3 DUI's. That's not little shit. You got caught 3 times, how many other times have you endangered the lives of others? You were going to get 2-5 years, and you still try and risk shit?"

I work in a packaging factory. My VP assigned me with the task of drawing out "line layouts" for each project, current & new. I knew this would take a long time to complete so once I had my first one finished, I took it to him to make sure it was exactly how he wanted it. He gave me the approval, so I started working on it immediately. Took me about two weeks straight to get through everything. He just now came into my office stating how he hates how I've done the line layouts and he wants them done a completely different way (mind you i have been finished with these for almost two months now AND he gave me approval before i started). Not to mention the fact that the way he wants them done is idiotic. This is pretty much an everyday thing with him. I think i need a new job.

I love when you send someone a really important/urgent email (and phone calls, and more emails to follow up), and they respond to EVERYTHING ELSE but don't even acknowledge the important/urgent item.
/ragecry1: I usually leave work at 4:30. Yesterday someone scheduled a meeting for 3:30-4:30... It ended after 6:30. I know he knew it would take more than an hour. /ragecry2: This morning I had 3 meetings scheduled for the same time. I got a cranky email and voicemail from someone who was leading one of the meetings I didn't go to. /ragecry3: Work has been insanely busy, and part of the busy-ness is helping the company to possibly outsource my job next February.

The fire alarm went off in the office this morning. It wasn't a drill as they always announce those beforehand. The reaction time to the alarm was priceless. It goes off. People slowly stand up at their desks and look around the room to see what everyone else is doing. When one manager goes toward the door, people start wandering that direction with little to no purpose.
