I'm curious, if you don't mind me asking, what ball park did you pay for this resume-writing service? Because I paid $1.75 and I think I got what I paid for.
In my defense, it's an unpaid government committee position. So I felt the dollar value spent was compensatory.
Ah, it was a while ago, and I can't seem to find the receipt in my email inbox. Crap. Sorry about that. I do know it was more than $1.75 - probably more in the $50-$100 range, I think.
Was that unlimited access to the service? Or total for every time you converted your resume?
Welllllllppp… I got fired today. It all felt so weird. Went in for my shift and the owner hugged me, asked me how my trip to Kentucky went, and then took me in the back and fired me. 2024 has been a hard one for me. Prolly won’t be making it to III Points and Hula now.
More time for Inforoo now, I suppose, at least for a bit. This past year I gave everything I had to this new job and was supposed to be taking the business to festivals… I had already been setting up booths in nightclubs around Miami. Super bummer, but the reason I was given didn’t make much sense. I think they were pissed I took off this past weekend on short notice to visit my dad. He has pancreatic cancer and I was thinking ya never know this could be his last so I kinda steamrolled my way into the time off. People really be showing you who they are. Here’s to another chapter.

really sorry to hear about your dad. Here’s to you landing on your feet! Hopefully working with people with a better modicum of empathy at your next gig
Aaaaaaaand ending my shift with a deceased 6 month old. Welcome back, Monie. Welcome back.
Wow. What a 180 I’ve done in my career. From 911 dispatcher, to tour marketing. The most stressful thing about my day today was they want us to design the tour art for an act who wants to do a global announce next week and there is no way we can turn that around in time. But it’s a global announce so i have no choice…
literally went from life or death, to ‘its just a concert’…on
i love my job now though. Honestly never thought I’d be “that” person who loves their job, but here we are. There is alway light at the end of the tunnel.
Just found out I got passed over for a position I was told was mine.
This is fine. Everything is fine. I haven’t been doing the job already or anything.
it’s wild that this is how corporate culture works. They’ll train you fully up on the job, have you actually doing the job, then when it comes time to actually formalize the promotion they don’t do it. I don’t get it.

I get it. It's all corporate greed. Profit over people. They got you doing the job for for however long without a pay increase and then probably hired someone at a much lower price point then they would have to pay heyyitskait to actually do the job. Hopefully this isn't the case, but sometimes when they realize the person can do both jobs, they hire the new person at a lower pay rate and then "let go" the one that was already there. Where Magazine did that a lot towards the end of their run.

I don’t even work in corporate America. I work for the NYS government. Whoever swiped the position from me is probably just politically connected/plays the ass kissing game.
