Yeah I've given up on seeing Phoenix, Friday being stacked as it is and wanting to do LN's, just gonna go to Vampire Weekend rest up and get a good spot for Kanye. 10:00-4:00am will be non stop partying.

Anyone have any idea on the stage setup for this show? I would think we're getting the full Yeezus-production since h'es playing on Friday and they'll be able to set it up on Thrusday and have the runway built into What Field/Pit area. If we're getting that setup I think the pit might be insane because he'd literally be down there the whole show.

The only real hint we have is that the tour he is resuming after Bonnaroo is being described as a continuation of the Yeezus shows.

I doubt there's a center platform due to security logistics, helping people who are dehydrated, sound board issues, etc. But if I arrive to the What Stage and there is a center platform sitting there, then I'm going to the pit line immediately.

He wouldn't be able to use the Yeezus production without that runway/B-Stage. Also, when he did Gov Ball last year he used the runway/B-stage. I've never been to Gov Ball but I would assume that their main stage is a very similar setup to what Roo has at What. They would still be able to have security/medical in the pit area by the stage, the only difference being they would be around the stage.
I can't imagine Kanye doing a stripped down or a compromised production for his return to the farm. Hopefulyl once he does that X Games gig a few days before we'll get a better idea of what he'll be bringing with him.

So I did a little research about the tour and I'm not quite sure they'd be able to pull it off in an outdoor venue due to the lighting of the runway/b-stage. If you're interested in an in-depth look into the staging/production for the Yeezus show take a read at the link below.

That link I posted earlier said the runway/b-stage is roughly 65 ft. combined. That could def fit in the pit area at the What Stage with still a large area before the soundboard. I think the issue is, they won't be able to use the projections/lighting that would normally hang over the runway/stage since there is nothing the lighting trusses could be hung from.
At Gov Ball he used a completely different setup, it was a runway with a small stage attached at the end that had these big white industrial looking lights on it and the main stage was 3 level of those industrial lights with his band in between the levels and a giant screen at the back of the stage.
I'm thinking we get something close to what coachella got stage set up wise. I'm just not seeing the yeezus stage setup being possible. You make a great point about the lighting.

I want to go. Where is it at anyway? Bun said he thinks it's in the groop area? If so that's perfect cause that's where I'll be anyway.

There will be other inforooers in Groop - find us and we'll show you where Camp Inforoo is in Tent Only. And you can join us for our traveling jam session; I think part of our plan is to show people where brunch is going to be.

Sounds like a plan. I'll have to figure out a meeting time and place to meet you guys and you lead me to brunch. Much better than just showing up with Kuhnye alone.
