Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
Nah just leave a little early. Then head to the back of the What Stage field and make your way to the left side.
I thought the right side near the food vendors yielded the best results? Are both ways good? I always figured the left side would be better since it's out of the way.
Last year I saw a ton of rattlesnakes on the left side so I'd advise the right side next to all of the food vendors where everyone else will be right when they get to the What stage area.
Also, allowing your croo to alter your plans too much is a clear path to regrets.

Very, very true. After my first year I learned not to focus on doing everything together. My group always took an hour or two longer than I wanted to get ready and leave our campsite so I just started doing my own thing and meeting up with them when I could.

I was really worried that I would lose track of what was going on in inforoo land while I was busy the last couple months. This thread helps me relax and remember that 90% of what's going on here is constant. People either love/hate Kanye. The rattle snakes/bees are still infesting the left side of What. Just different people being racist, but they never all go away. [At least people calling them out is a constant too.]
For the record, I am hoping that my Kanye excitement doesn't cause me to not appreciate the rest of the great day on Friday.

I couldn't make it this year, but I need to know from those who are there-did Kanye bring the mountain with him? and if so how the hell are they storing that behind all the other bands' shit? Either way, for those of you who haven't seen his Yeezus tour show yet (not even gonna acknowledge the people on here talking crap on him, which is just an enormous waste of time) it's the ultimate stage show/experience, even if he didn't bring the mountain. Haters will turn into believers tonight. Also, for the dude who posted the ween t-shirt pic, I often run into Dean Ween at my local bar. Very cool dude.

I'm not at Bonnaroo, but I have a feeling he's going to be doing something different and it's going to be really fucking cool. He knows he has to redeem himself for 2008.

No mountain. No side screens. Left after several rants including one about how people treated him the first time he was here. Left early to refresh for late night. I was unimpressed

I guess I'll have to wait until later today to find out how it was. Everything on Twitter was negative. Couple video clips I saw looked great, though.
Wondering how much of it is legitimate and how much is just hyperbolic, playing-into-the-Bonnaroo-Kanye-hate. If it's as bad as 2008, I don't blame people.

Just watched whole set from the hill..my thoughts: Kanye was like that uncle at your reunion with tourettes syndrom. You try to be nice but he brings down the whole party. The didn't have either screen for the stage going, the Bonnaroo sign was blacked out, and any video of him on his backdrop was blurred out. He was wearing a Mexican wrestling mask for half the set so you were not sure if it was him. All that aside Kanye melted down on stage for 15 minutes. The best not being the one everyone will hear about explaining 2008, but him talking about them being too scared to let him play the superbowl. If you were not up front you couldn't see anything with no screens and he didn't play gold digger...what a waste of time.

Last year was my first roo. I had no emotional involvement with 2008. I came to his set tonight with a neutral attitude, yet hopeful outlook. I like College Dropout. This was completely shattered after about 15 minutes. His rants about Walt Disney, Howard Hughes, the Superbowl? Blaming Pearl Jam for being late in 2008? Screaming "where's the press?!?! Where's the press?!?" like a lunatic?! I rolled my eyes through this until I could take no more.

I get if he was ranting, I'm just wondering how the actual music was.
2008 was a genuinely bad performance, aside from being 2+ hours late.
I guess what I'm asking is: Was he ever on? Or was it just an hour-and-a-half shitshow?
