Charlemagne the God - "Do you not like the reception Yeszus has gotten? Cuz I didn't like that album at all. And I'm a Kanye West fan, but Yeezus was whack to me."
Kanye West - " That's great. That's great. So what were you saying"
The tittle, and editing are clearly biased on hating on Kanye, and putting him in the worst light possible, but he does seem a little lost.
Went to the show last night. Had a great time. Got upgraded because it was so poorly attended. That's a shame. It was quite the spectacle. I got some pushback on my FB page for even going. I guess I shouldn't be surprised. He did go off on a rampage that was very entertaining.

Yeah I will enjoy Kanyes music regardless of what people say. But I do wish he would chill out some. People refuse to recognize his greatness because of his attitude. I can separate someones music from their personal life and way they act but a lot of people can't.
I left the What Stage in '08 after 30-40 minutes of waitin' fer Kayne. I'm not a fan, but his show sounded fun. So I say fuck Kayne. If he comes back I just hope his performance goes off without a hitch, and if nothin' else was happenin' I might even try and catch some of his set.

I waited. I watched. I was annoyed. I was entertained. I was a part of something unique. It was frustrating, but interesting. I would love to have him back if he'd come back and if they'd invite him and I'd be so happy to see him on the main stage. The GLOW in the dark show would have been better if it started earlier but I will never get over telling people I was watching Kanye West around 5 or 6 in the morning finishing his set as I walked back to my camp site. Oh man. That was great.
I got to see Kanye West. Was it really what I hoped for? Not necessarily. I wish I would have known the deal and stayed for the rest of Phil Lesh's set or gone to Ghostland Observatory but I was still glad to see that show that occurred in 2008. Bring him back. Let him put on the show he was meant to have. Let him kick ass and send haters packing. Let him play a wide variety of his catalog and Keep him from conflicting with anyone huge I want to see.

Awesome post. I would love nothing more then for him to come back and put on one of the greatest shows Bonnaroo has ever seen and I honestly think he is capable of doing it.

Well I hate to add fuel to the fire, but why the hell not. Bad ticket sales. They couldn't fill up the 100 levels so they moved us down from 200. I was closer to the show, booze, snacks, and bathroom. I was happy.
There. That should keep this argument going for a few more hours.

Did they move you up automatically? We are in front row for a 200 section and I'm seeing him in Tampa, doubt it'll be too packed and would love even closer seats

It was automatic. Showed up and they swapped out our tickets. If we had gotten there earlier, we might have been even closer.
The show exceeded all of my expectations, AC better not screw up by not booking him. Also, it was completely sold out, I wonder why other cities had problems filling seats.
Ya, that show was pretty incredible. Minus the 25 minute rant/song. Place was probably not even half full when Kendrick finished, but definetly was pretty close to full by Kanye, pretty sure fashinoably late is a notorious Miami thing.
Where do you think I can get one of those disco ball masks.
I'm really just asking, do people complain about Bruce Springsteen's customary rant at each of his shows?
I've seen complaints about Bruce's political rants. Seems like Yeezy's are generally targeted at people in the fashion industry that he is upset with or feels wronged him. I doubt I would mind them. If nothing else it would give me a moment to gain my composure from all the awesomeness I was witnessing.
I actually liked the way he delivered it. To think of it, if I had been drinking it would have been a perfect time to get beers and I probably would have actually been happy about it(it was pretty late, they may have even already shut of at that point).

The rant was my favorite part by far
Haha. The music wasn't too good or was the rant hysterically funny?

The music was absolutely amazing, but the rant was great, Kanye is actually a very, very intelligent person. The things he said made sense and actually had a sense of wisdom to it, not that pseudo-inspirational bullsh*t that most pop stars are spraying out of their mouths.

I've enjoyed some of Kanye's songs in the past...but some of his new songs just blow my mind with how much I dislike them. His new song Bound 2 is so Lyrically horrible that it just makes me sad for his fans.
I'm sure I would go to some of his set just to check it out and hear a few older songs...but I found out last year that walking around Centeroo during a Headliner can be a lot of fun, So I imagine that is what I will be doing if he is headlining. Catching Jim James and Preservation Hall Jazz Band come on early during Jack Johnson was one of my favorite parts of last year.
