I like this runoff. All 3 are suspicious, and I don't have a strong feeling any of you are a townie.
I voted for Ody just because Ella stacked on snake and I didnt want to see someone voted off without a runoff. My vote is in no way locked in. Ody and Snake, Snake especially, I'd really love to hear what you guys have to say and defend yourselves. If you ARE townies, you are making it really hard on the rest of us by being so silent and not contributing much to the game.

Usually, at least one of the mafia members is really quiet, and snakeface has definitely been quiet. I don't know. I could see changing my vote, but I'm worried that I don't really have a good feel for anybody.

So you basically take linana out of the runoff? Hmm.. Why vote to put her in the runoff if you were gonna change your vote as soon as we got in the runoff ?

I am keeping my vote right where it is. SF has seemingly dropped off the face of the Earth as far as this game is going, though has been active in other parts of the forum, arcade included.
I am going back to my original thought this round on Linana. Snakeface does have me a little worried though, and very possibly could be a quiet mafia just trying to squeeze by. Correct me if I am wrong, but is this not also his first game? Curious to see if he pulls that card and doesn't have a really good grasp on the game yet, forgot he is playing (seen that one before too), doesn't know whats going on or what . . . .
I also don't like how quiet SF is being. I think it could very well be a sign of a new player who is mafia and afraid of posting and giving themselves away. with all the talk about quiet players this game, it's ridiculous to say you don't know that's potentially an issue. and, as I've said before, if nothing else it's certainly not helping the town. so for now I'm staying put, pending a response.
still not convinced about linana or Mike D. leaning more towards ody being town just because that's the vibe I'm currently getting but of course I could be wrong. I will look back at previous posts later to see if anything new jumps out.

Idk but ody's non-vote doesn't exactly sit well with me. Mafia might do something like that to try and remain under the radar. I can understand the long silence since you were out of town, but to come back and still be essentially silent isn't helping the town.

Maybe its because I've had high suspicion of MikeD the whole game but I can definitely see a MikeD & Linana partnership. They've voted for each other all game then change votes then vote for each other again. Even though MikeD has a vote on Linana right now I can totally see that has a distancing move. Kill a fellow mafia member to distance yourself in the later rounds.

that's why I need to go back and re-read, I never noticed the null vote by linana for the same reason as ody's..

I see your point Tejas, but there is a difference.
In round 1, I had already put myself out there by placing a vote for someone. I CHANGED to null, in an effort to try to ensure an outcome that would be more favorable for the town. It was round one. There wasn't really anyone to be suspicious of yet, and I was already in the runoff anyway, so this was obviously not a move to try to protect myself. Just trying to get back to a 3 person runoff since noone else was coming in to change their vote.
In round 2, Ody was silent for a long time, then when he did show up, his ONLY vote was null. As someone else has already explained:
I don't necessarily think you seem super guilty, but the thing about the null vote is it allows you a protection that none of the rest of us can take advantage of. Like you said, if you just pick someone, that choice is theoretically something that can be used against you. Well, guess what, all the rest of us picked someone, and our votes can be used against each of us. How is it fair for you to just get to stay silent and not put any evidence as to your role into play while everyone else had to make a choice and put that evidence out there?
this seemed like sort of a cop-out. He avoided having to name someone.
So you see, there is a BIG difference between what I did and what Ody did. Just because we both voted null doesn't mean we did the same thing.
If that's your only reason for voting for me, I suggest you read again and reconsider.

as I explained I was originally voting for him because I thought maybe his silence was an indication of an inexperienced player afraid of giving himself away as mafia.
however I am not sure what to think at this point. I am more suspicious of linana and Mike D but was waiting for a post from SF before changing my vote.
I think SF is quite possibly avoiding this thread because they are mafia. I believe somewhere it was mentioned that this is their first game, and if given a mafia role it may be a bit overwhelming. On another forum that I play on, in my first newbie game I was mafia and had no idea what to do, how to play with that role, etc. My partner got replaced out twice because they freaked out, and wouldn't reply to the thread. Needless to say, town won easily. It just looks very suspicious to post everywhere but the game thread, and SF would have to have a pretty solid defense for me to change my vote.
Oh, and just a heads up, I am leaving in the morning for Forecastle and won't be back until Monday night. I'll do my best to check in but I'm going to be pretty much MIA for the next 4 days. I'll make sure I get any votes in though.
Snakeface decided to venture to Harlem because he just was really digging that Harlem Shake song - got stuck in his head and whatnot.
Mistake #1 was being in a bad part of the neighborhood in the first place. Mistake #2 was doing the Harlem Shake dance so badly that he was really doing a walk usually interpreted as a gang symbol. Mistake #3 was doing that while wearing the wrong colored t-shirt, and an Atlanta Braves hat which was misinterpreted as a Boston Red Sox hat.
Snakeface was found dead three hours later floating face down in the East River. NYPD is supposedly investigating the homicide, but then again I wouldn't take their word on much anything. Half the force is watching a 20 person drum circle over at Zuccotti Park.

NBF just seemed really out of her element in New York. The place with never ending development, urban chaos, and well... anything but flowers - it just seemed too much for her.
This morning she was found dead behind a Pizza Hut in Queens. Soon, the spot she'll be buried in will be covered with daisies.
The NYPD claims to be investigating the incident... like that's going to actually happen.
