Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
I don't get the hate for Which. I've never seen a bad show there. The heat was a downside for some midday shows with the lack of shade.
Which is so hit-or-miss. What frustrates me most is that I know the sound can be great there (NIN & David Byrne '09), but so often just isn't (Buffalo Springfield & Alison Krauss '11).
I'll take your word for it, as my ass was planted squarely at What for MMJ > Arcade Fire. Also, Primus suck.
Getting back on topic, has anyone seen VW lately? How are they live these days? The only time I've seen them was Bonnaroo 2008, and that was from the line to the comedy tent.

Back off topic, this was before I knew what inforoo was. I was completely unaware of the MMJ rule. I don't believe I knew who MMJ was at the time.

Primus does not suck. Claypool is in a league of his own and their live show is off the handle. I would take Primus 1000x before a Vampire Weekend set.

If they are touring the festival circuit as their main way of touring this year it would make since that they have not announced a lot of dates because tours ask band not to leak the info. I would say those 4 dates seem like warm up shows before getting into the heart of Festival season
This isn't a joke. I was in BFE and when I left Centeroo around 4ish you could still hear it pretty well. What an amazing sunrise that morning!
Don't I know it! I left Centeroo early that night because after superjam, my choices were either twiddle my thumbs for GZA for 30-40 minutes, or watch Skrillex, Pedrito Martinez Group, or a quacking Van Halen cover band (and yet SBTRKT played mid-afternoon? Way to troll us, Ashley Capps).
I was a 30-minute schlep from the ferris wheel entrance (probably more like 40 from Which itself), and it still sounded like someone in our camp was playing it on an iPod.
Love all of those videos. That "Kid's don't stand a chance" was one of the first things I saw when looking into them for the 2008 Bonnaroo fest and I was hooked. Them playing in that area really worked. I always also loved these videos:
At this point i'm fully expecting them this year at Roo.

fair enough, i was up front on the left. to further your statement, The Lumineers from the VIP area on the right side didn't sound very good. just a couple speakers pointed in that direction would make a world of difference.
Always depends on where you stand. I've had great sound and crappy sound at Which stage every year.
We made it a point to be pretty close to the center, just to the right/front of the soundboard & had nothing but good sound last year. In '12 the back left was pretty awful for Ben Folds Five. I think we'll stick with our front/center/right rule until it proves us wrong.
