The Alchemist has shared an update on Earl Sweatshirt‘s newest album.
Speaking to music critic Anthony Fantano, Alc called the album “incredible” and confirmed that he contributed to project. “I think everybody will be happy. He’s in his bag, as he should be,” he said, adding, “Earl is always working, he’s a master of his craft, so something gets cut all the time. When he decides to press the button, we’ll see. But he’s got loaded guns… Know that he’s hard at work and the magic is there.”
The new ASAP Rocky album started off good but fell off in the second half.
are you referring to his great album that came out in like 2011 and is the best thing he ever did? You arent wrong about the first half being better though.

Or did i miss a truly new album coming out
Damn, didn't know it was old and just new to streaming. I was thinking while listening to it that it had an older type sound to it that I appreciated. Either way, I'm glad it introduced me to some songs I never heard before that I like.

Its pretty amazing you didn't comment on LLA sounding 10 years old the more I think of it. Been revisiting it for like 2 weeks straight. Hope that first 4 song stretch stuck with you. Bass and Wassup are all timers for me.

Yeah, it's Palace and Bass for me. Hearing it now knowing it's an old release, I can definitely tell. Hearing it at the time when I thought it was an actual new release, I just was think, "wow, good on ASAP for throwing it back a bit."
That's awesome. Kate was the queen of the Fairlight sampler, and Big Boi always liked that work.
Did anyone see the Three 6 verzuz Bone Thugs? Apparently it got ugly for a bit.
i saw it all. Was awesome.
Nice. I was watching that asswhipping NFL game, but I will watch it. I so live Paul. I never knew why Bonnaroo wouldn’t just give Paul and whomever 3 hours to fuck shit up. I’d go. Never seen him (Seen Project Pat and Juicy J) but I know you said the 3 pernts set was good. I saw Bone Thugs at Buku I’m way back early teens. Solid as the fuck. But Three 6 is some shit I love.
So I went to a crazy ultra rich attorney lunch followed by meeting up with my homie from ATX who just flew in town. List too much at the casino but said fuck it. Mavericks kicked our ass Wednesday at home. And we’re playing them there. Put it all on red. Money line. Haha.

Going to say something mean here: DJ Paul is probably one of the 15 most influential humans in hiphop history and has no idea of said influence beyond modern samples here and there

When Kendrick said:
“This dick ain't free, I mean, baby You really think we could make a baby named Mercedes Without a Mercedes Benz and twenty-four inch rims Five percent tint, and air conditioning vents? Hell fuckin' naw”
I like to think he was referencing when 2 Chainz said:
“I'm allergic to the hater type, i'll take ya wife, give her back 9 months after that… similax! Similar to Sam mama's babydaddy maybe uhh When we had sex I was in the Mercedes And I ain't crazy but if that's my baby Then we gonna have to name the lil baby Mercedes!”

Thought there were a few good tracks off this new Big Boi album but also some misses too. Never was a big fan of the laid back funk style he does sometimes (like Speakerboxxx album) and he has quite a bit of those kind of songs on here. I like more of the upbeat hard beats he flows over.

Maxo & Tyler prob be in top ten for me. Wanted to like the Isaiah album more than I did but oh well.
Re: Griselda, I get it but it does it for me. It's probably since my gateway drug to rap was Wu-Tang and it's all basically rooted in/an evolution of that sound.
