None of the options really appeal to me here, honestly. There is simply not enough information to peg anybody down. However, I do have a question. bogart, why did you feel it was of importance to say that the votes from Mike D and Pepe disappeared quietly from me? Do you think they may be in cahoots? What about that did you find so suspicious? I really didn't see anything unusual about either vote, Pepe being my vp then changing to get conversation started, and Mike D still feeling a little burned about the previous game putting a vote on me--then changing seeing I wasn't going to be in a runoff at that time, since it was before your vote. I just want to clarify this before I cast a vote.
To clarify my vote change - Pepe switched, leaving me as the only one on Ella. I am not going to leave my vote as a single vote on someone like that, there is no real point. It seems a lot of folks don't want to stack at all in the first round, understandable. The great thing about having your vote on someone without anyone else stacking . . . you get a free vote change of sorts when the votes reset without having to actually post that you want to change. Also, look at the time I switched, look at the deadline that was in place when I changed. I changed to Bogart, the last one to cast an original vote, he had a chance to add someone to the runoff, but didn't. He voted for Noage, leaving only two folks up for the runoff, making someone else make a move . . . who is trying to be quiet??
Just like I said last game I don't like stacking on my first vote.
About the notion of being quiet: a) I'm always quiet the first round or two. b) work has been legit hell this week and I haven't had much time after work to post, just how it goes.
That being said I am starting to understand my fault in this game (being quiet); thus the reason I called you and pepe out. For now I'm keeping my vote on Ella, but I am suspicious about how quick I got o'neal to agree with me. Seems people only do that when they have something they want.

actually, I thought it was weird from the first and almost quoted pepe on it immediately, but wanted to wait and see who else said anything. my thoughts being, it was such an odd and obvious move that I figured people would have to call it out, just wanted to see who. looking at vote changes and reactions to them can be helpful down the road.

Wait, so you voted on me thinking there was a vote, in essence creating a stack...Yet you say this??! Or were you counting your first vote NoAge? Like, your very first vote you don't stack, but any subsequent vote Day 1 is free game?? I'm just looking to figure out what you mean here, I'm sorry to put you on the spot. I mean, I usually leave my first vote throughout the round if I can--which has played out the last couple games as I vote Tejas/Pepe first round and stick with it. I'm simply trying to figure your play style out so that I don't vote you purely out of reaction, though you are giving me little reason not to.
Isn't everyone relatively quiet during the first round? There's rarely much to go on to say anything worthwhile.
I have no reason to think Hakuna is guilty, but I'm leaving my vote be... for now. The only thing that has caught my attention was Pepe's vote change, but I don't think that necessarily means Ella is mafia.
Welcome back Bonz, but I do not find it strange that your presence being requested in the Orgy thread and then you showing up, like it was the quacking Bonzai Bat Signal.
Ya, I clarified a few posts up, basically I found it odd that he didn't stack a third in the runoff with his vote, especially being the last one to vote in the round. He then changed to Ella to try to keep her in the runoff. He said he doesn't like stacking his first vote, but seemed to jump on a stack shortly after.
You're just too young to grasp how stylin' I really was. All the boys wanted to do me when I was 5. Actually the girls did too. My haircut was confusing.
I am leaving my vote for now, although I don't necessarily think Ella is mafia either. don't have anything else really to go on though so I don't see a benefit to changing it at the moment.
Same thing happened last game. I didn't stack, somehow avoided getting killed in the runoff. Mafia makes a strange whack on me (worked out perfect with my vacation btw), even though I was going down in the next round.

So I looked at the last game and Bogart voted the same way he did this game. With so little to go off right now I feel inclined to change my vote.
Pepe Silvia > Ella
Switching back to my original vote.
Maybe you can clarify, but your votes are kind of all over the place. You voted Ella (voting partner), then Phi (no votes yet at the time) in Day 1, then it was Bogart (with a sound reason), and then back to Ella in Runoff 1 within an hour's time.
When voting for Bogart in the runoff, you had given the reason of agreeing with Mike D that Bogart didn't stack a vote to cause a 3 person runoff, but then throw in that he's most likely a townie because it's hard to nab a mafia member in day 1 (I agree, by the way, its not easy because we don't have much, if anything, to go on).
Then you switched back to Ella (your initial voting partner) about an hour later, stating you have little to go off of. And I agree we don't have much, a page and a half into Runoff 1 isn't much at all.
Again it may be my play style differing from yours, but when I don't have much to go on, I find that vote changes only confuse me, as well as others. And please don't read this as you being the only person that has changed votes, because you aren't. The reason I ask is because I can definitely agree that vote changes are necessary to start a Runoff in Day 1, and we really don't have anything to go off of other than people's votes, but it also then muddies things up a bit when people change their Runoff votes, especially within an hour's time.
I honestly believe we are working with a group of town in this runoff. No one is really trying to pull anybody else out of the fire, which just makes me think that the mafia are okay with where things stand. Since I really don't have any more questions for anyone, I just have to go with the 'least townish' person in this thing, because to quietly come in and not stack as a last vote, then to attempt to stack, and to accuse one of the more vocal players (Pepe) of trying to do anything quietly..It just doesn't look quite right.
With that said, I doubt you are mafia, it's just...ya know

The reason I switched back to ella is because when I looked at Bogarts previous game he voted the same way. Meaning that he didn't cause a stack with his first vote.
I still think that with his first vote Bogart should have stacked a vote so he could've forced another player in the runoff, but that would have gone against his playing style which he has stated not only in this game but in games past. So in my opinion he kept to his playing style, which persuaded me to change my vote.
Again with very little to go off of I may be over analyzing this a bit too much, but hey its day 1 and its a slow day in the office.

Totally understandable, I overlooked where you were comparing his votes/decisions from last game to this one, and I have used that strategy myself. Thanks for the clarification, I tend to over analyze things myself.
Id much much rather see a 2person runoff then a 3person runoff. If the votes stay like they are, Im just giving everyone a heads up I will null my vote to get it down to 2. going from 4person to 3person runoff is just pointless.

I totally agree with this and was thinking the same thing yesterday, but was at my second job and was unable to act (and didn't get home until 11:30 which is past my bedtime). Good call, Phil.

For now I am going to with Bogart. Not because I am sure he's mafia. Simply because Ella's name has come up a few times, but always as the third party. It hasn't been "Ella voted this way" but rather "So and so voted for Ella and then changed." I reserve the right to change, but I might not get back on until tomorrow morning so I wanted to get a vote out there.
