if my week 1 win in tecmo 2014 is any indication the patriots will definitely cover today. i think i may start drinking and play most of the season right now.

I'm gonna try to get in on this league before kickoff, which is in about 1.5 hours. I've never done this before, but I feel better knowing I'm not the only virgin.

I think anyone that hasn't played in a pool should be fine cause the spread evens things out cause i could probably say who would win straight up most of the time but i will be watching redzone getting mad about garbage time touchdowns and missed field goals

You are picking against the spread. So for instance...
That part where it has NE, then 9.5, then BUF. That means that New England is giving Buffalo 9.5 points. So essentially at the start of the game, it's 9.5 - 0. So a pick for New England means you think they are going to win by 10 or more points. Since New England only won by 2, anyone who picked Buffalo gets the point.
Games that are shown as push, like Chicago/Cincinnati, means that the spread was covered exactly. The Bears gave the Bengals 3 points, and since they won by three, it was essentially a tie game. No one gets any points.

I have checked a few official gambling sites and the spread for tonight's game seems to be 11.5 across the board, one casino in Las Vegas has kept it at 12. I have no idea what time Yahoo does their updates though
