I watched Infected Mushroom on the Coachella stream and their stage set up looked insane... So based on that I saw them last month on Governors Island. No stage set up and they were performing with a live band... Pretty god awful.
I would love to see SBTRKT come back.. hopefully this time he wont get stuck playing in the afternoon (wtf was the deal with that?! Van Halen cover band gets late night and SBTRKT play at like 4 in the afternoon)... Anyway, he put out a new track the other day.. It's pretty fantastic.

As I was scrolling through reading, I saw your list and was surprised how similar our hopefuls are. Saw Deadmau5 a few weeks ago, Joel was amazing but wanna see him with a better crowd! EOTO would be awesome as well. Not a Bassnectar fan, so hoping he isn't the big EDM act, but if he is I can't say I wouldn't be his show if there was nothing else good going on at the time. theshining, although unrealistic, Boards of Canada would be amazing
Yeah I saw Bassnectar last night. He wasn't bad but I would prefer someone else. Deadmau5 and Knife Party are my top two choices. I haven't seen either.
Both are awesome. Deadmau5's set up is always awesome. His demeanor and stage presence are awesome. They way he takes off the mouse head every couple songs to smoke a cig! it's so funny. Saw knife party at Ezoo last year. They were really good. i hadn't listened to them a whole lot before then but their show got me really interested in them!

lol that bad huh? Were they just boring or sounded like shit or what?

Yeah I'm not sure what the deal was with some of the late night scheduling that year. I walked up on that cover band after watching GZA and it was pretty sad. There was maybe 30 people at that show and it was ridiculous. I stayed the whole time just cause i felt bad for the guys. Brutal. lol

Damn now I just have to try to not get my hopes up lol I will settle for one of them. Both would be perfect.

Big Gigantic is rising among the fest crowd but I'm not sure if they'd ever be big enough to take a LN which stage performance. Hardwell is getting massive (for Ezoo he was the most added artist to people's schedules, even over people like tiesto, armin, and avicii)
I really hope for Deamdau5 over Bassnectar. Bassnectar tours everywhere and now he seems even more likely with a new rig coming for his fall tour. But deadmau5 is also working on a new rig and probably putting out a new album soon...hmmmmmm
So who does tour with their own stage production that's also big enough to play LN Which? Skrillex Pretty Lights Bassnectar Deadmau5 Avicii (Has/had that giant head thing) Daft Punk
I'm sure there is a few more but that doesn't leave a whole lot of choices.

Exactly.
Thats why I'd put all my marbles on Bassnectar or Deadmau5.

Prydz.
Eh, time will tell if he brings that EPIC 2.0 production to festivals. It would be funny to see a whole day of acts perform in front of that thing on the Which though.

lol that bad huh? Were they just boring or sounded like shiz or what?
It was boring and sounded more like metal then edm. They did a foo fighters cover and it really just reminded me of seeing a local cover band. Very disappointing, especially after watching their Coachella set.

I have seen a few live videos where I could see where you are coming from. Their stage setup at Coachella was really cool though. Shpongle's stage set up at Bonnaroo was also great. I was disappointed this year cause I knew Boys Noize toured with a light up Skull at a lot of his shows and he didn't have it at Bonnaroo. I have no idea how big that thing was though or if it would have even be able to have been used in a tent. Still a good show regardless.

Daft Punk would definitely be a What Stage headliner at this point I think. I would add Justice, Kaskade, and Disclosure to that list.
Yeah they would be I wasn't really thinking when I put them on there other then I knew they only had their own stage production. I follow Kaskade on twitter (no idea why cause I don't really know his music too well) and know he has been promoting his new tour and talking about a new stage setup he's excited about. I haven't seen him put on anybodies wishlist. How would you guys feel about him being the big EDM act this year? I would have to check him out more before being able to fairly judge him but he isn't someone who I would be real excited about.

I'm not a huge Kaskade fan, but I like him and his personality, he seems very grounded and sane. And he has a handful of tracks I love, and then a lot of tracks I'm indifferent towards.
Anyway, I'd be OK with him being the BN EDM artist for 2014. I also have seen him tweeting about his Atmosphere stage setup, and saw one grainy instagram video of the show.
Going to see them in about a month. But I think Beats Antique would be a fun show, I hear they have a lot of live instrumentation as well.
They played a tent show on Thursday night a few years back. It a great show but being Thursday it was packed. The performance and music is awesome you'll have a great time. Wouldnt be to crazy they'll be at bonnaroo 2014. Their only booked out until mid November and thats a coast to coast US tour. Id rather have Big Gigantic though and I feel like its one or the other.
Also, I feel like a few of them may be too big for it and only capable of headlining (Daft Punk, Portishead, etc.)? as a side note, I hope that Portishead can take the PL slot from this year, aside from being unlikely, are they too big for that?
Portishead would be either be pre-headline, headline, or LN Which. I don't really see any way they would be in any other spot. I only offer pre-headline as a suggestion because of Bjork this year.
My wishlist of acts that I haven't seen in the thread is as follows:

Zedd does too. His current tour is actually pretty fantastic.
