I was hoping St. Vincent and Sharon Van Etten would be at Lolla this year. I think those are the only additions I'm super bummed about. Thankfully I'm hitting up Roo and Lolla this year, so I just have to make sure I fit Real Estate, Deafheaven, and Cloud Nothings into my schedule.

Just so everyone knows, if you live in Alaska, Hawaii, Florida, New York, Rhode Island, Puerto Rico, Guam, you can't win. It'll void you if you do win.
Depends on how many winners are chosen.. If only one person wins passes out of the hundreds of thousands that enter, then this system is dumb.
I'm surprised there are so many possible numbers. Maybe they'll draw numbers until the allotment is given away?
I hope so! Hopefully, they have at least 100 winners. That means 200 people going to the fest for free. I don't think that's an outrageous number... But if they have just a single winner, then I will really miss the days of impossible to obtain Souvenier Tickets.

Each winner will receive Two (2) Three-Day Passes to the 2014 Lollapalooza Music Festival (the “Prize”). Total Value: $500. Tickets valid only on the date(s) printed on the tickets. All other expenses relating to the Prize not specified are the sole responsibility of the winner. No cash equivalent is available, tickets are non-transferable, nor will tickets be replaced if lost or stolen. Winners must redeem Prize during the 2014 Festival dates (August 1-3, 2014) or forfeit all rights to the Prize. No substitution or transfer of Prize permitted except as provided in these Rules. No more than the total number of Prize(s) specified in these rules will be awarded. Tickets will be placed at Will Call at the Lollapalooza Box Office under the winner’s name.

I'm as impatient as they come, so I tweeted Greg Kot if he knew when the lineup would be announced, and he said it should be on Tuesday, before tix go on sale.
Hoping this means we don't have to wait much longer and that people buying 3-days (myself included) will know who the fuck is playing before they buy.
Anyone else having trouble once you get to the golden guitar pedal section of the lottery? I click the link in my email and then it just goes to a blank pink page...urgh

Apparently, only two acts have played Lolla and Summerfesr, Weezer in 2005 and Wilco in 2006. My optimism for Outkast is shot, unless they sub headline before Eminem. My guess is Lolla didn't get Kanye because Roo got Kanye and they didn't want to copy them, and my other guest is that Kanye is probably playing ACL in Oct, which is run by C3(same fest promoter as Lolla). Would Lolla really get two main stage rap headliners? I mean it's never happened. Even though Eminem is expensive, he hasn't played a major US fest since releasing MMLP II. He hasn't even done a major US tour. I think since 2011 went over so well, and now he's even more in demand, they saw this a great opportunity to bring him back. I'm still bummed that arctic are getting a headlining spot, to match them up against some of these other acts is rough. In the UK they are huge! Here in the US they continue to show strides to impress the US, but 25,000 at Lolla on bud light seems highly unlikely. Skrillex, KOL, Eminem, Pearl Jam, and Outkast would have no problems getting massive crowds. I know the undercard will be impressive but I hope there's some surprises. Lolla should find some acts that have never played, and this would be the perfect year.(James Blake, purity ring, Django Django, Janelle Monae, Damon Albarn, Tyler the creator or Odd Future, a day to remember, the knife, tears for fears, Smashing Pumpkins(Chicago era), St. Vincent(damn you pitchfork), just to name a few. They need to seek out some of this undercard to really show they've been doing some research. Recycling acts each year will eventually catch up, but I know they'll have a great undercard regardless, and another awesome lineup.
Just do to career trajectory, before last week I would have guessed that the Black Keys would be back before Eminem and maybe Kings Of Leon.
I'll gladly place a bet on this. The Black Keys are not playing Lolla this year.
I think it is possible considering you had The Cure, New Order, and NIN billed the top half of the line-up. KoL,AM, and BK is not that much of a stretch.

I can't believe we haven't gotten a full leak yet. Very well done by them. I mean we think Outkast and PJ are the other 2 HLers but there isn't the substantial evidence that Roo had for Elton/Ye/JW the night before the lineup was supposed to be announced. Pretty remarkable if you ask me.

I agree, they've done a really good job. I remember Perry talking about the lineup shortly after the quick sell out, and he was clearly pissed that the lineup leaked the way it did. Leads me to guess that they've rethought the entire marketing process this year.
