Its a shame Eminem doesn't decide to be good live. Get a solid backing band and don't lip sync. He can easily produce one of the better setlists in hip-hop.
This for sure. It's tough to swallow Em after expecting Kanye, but We were expecting the other three announced. I'm pretty confident Outkast and PJ will be the other two headliners, and I'd be happy with that. Still buying a 3 day pass.
Very suspicious that they're skipping Chicago on a stadium tour in August...decent chance Eminem or even both are booked for Lolla.

Eminem is terrible live, the crowd he attracts is even worse. Of all the hip hop you could get, he wasn't the one to get. Drake, Kanye, jay z, hell kendrick would have been a better booking.

In a companion video, Greg Kot says these are 4 of the 6 headliners. If he's right and there are only 2 remaining, then I agree that this lineup is pretty damn weak for my tastes. He also says that he "heard the secret sale tickets will be done under some kind of lottery" this go around. Lolla better announce something substantive soon here, or I'm gonna lose it.

Hopefully PJ and Outkast will save the day. Eminem was #1 on the 2011 poster, would he come back again if he wasn't #1 again? Would Pearl Jam possibly be #2?
Found it interesting that Kot replied to a tweet when somebody said they can't believe Outkast won't be their. Said "Why do you assume they're going to miss? More than 100 acts still to announce."
Also said lineup will be out next week and that tickets go on sale Tuesday. Do they put tickets out before the lineup?

Yea, keep in mind, they WILL sell ALL alloted tickets during their "PRESALE". I got screwed last year thinking I'd just wait for the regular on-sale but NOPE, they had sold out all tickets during the presale.

Eminem played in 2011 - and while his performance sucked IMO (this coming from a fan of his first three albums), the crowd wasn't any noticeably different than at any other Bonnaroo. People have made the "draws a bad crowd" argument before with Tool, Metallica, Kanye, Nine Inch Nails - and guess what? Not a single act has ever managed to ruin Bonnaroo or its 'vibes', and I doubt any act ever will.
Funnily enough, the worst headliner crowd I've seen in four Bonnaroos was for Phish's reunion in '09. A lot of people came just for the two Phish sets and made no attempt to embrace the festival as a whole. Just my take on it.
And as for Drake, well... Ghostface said it best:

Outkast were just announced for Electric Picnic in Ireland which is the same weekend as North Coast. That makes it extremely unlikely that they will play North Coast, so I still feel very confident that they will be on the Lolla lineup.

Ya i saw that, there's no way they will be hopping continents in the same weekend and there's no way they will not play chicago. I think its safe to say we have a lock unless they get booked at wavefront
edit: errr wait they are booked ireland 9-04 isnt north coast usually labor day weekend? 8-29 -- 9-01 ARGHHHHH

In defense of my statement, I didn't state I liked Drake. I think he is a better get for Lolla this year as eminem was just there. I dislike drake very much and think ghost face's words are spot on.

So the secret sale is literally a lottery, where they pick five numbers for you and they'll announce the winning numbers on Monday. So I guess that's just about as good of a chance as I would've had nabbing the secret sale tix, plus I get to be lazy about it. I'm just hoping the lineup announcement is part of the winning number announcement. I'll be buying 3 days either way because my gf is dead set on going, but I hate how they sold all of the 3 days before the lineup dropped last year.
