On the Beyonce photo thing, it's pretty standard to restrict access, not a diva thing at all. Jeff Mangum had a no photos policy on the NMH tour. Lots of artists only allow photos for 3 songs. Etc.
I understand that. I just feel it's a bit different in this case because she has her own team of photographers at every show, and then making whichever ones pass the cut available to the media.
Not being difficult here, I don't really see what the problem is with that. Local newspapers get their story and their clickbait, Bey gets to look good, and the actual pictures are probably better because the official photographer will likely have better access.
I won't get into a big argument about it, I just feel the photo is silly and, as photography enthusiast myself, the "photographers just can't be trusted!" vibe I get from that whole situation rubs me the wrong way.

I think it's cool that she at least provides photos unlike some who will deny any and all shots be taken and flip out if they catch somebody snapping a photo.
At the Ryman, Neil Young was having the triple knit vest wearing senior citizen ushers take your camera away. Then they beat you senseless with it and threw you out into the middle of Broadway.
Ok, maybe it was not quite that bad. But no pictures!
And there are only three men compared to seven women on the list.
Seriously though, where is Bruno Mars?
I wanted to stop at 10, and he'd be #11 in terms of people I think are headliner sized. I think he and Rihanna are both questionable, and Rihanna got the nod because she's awesome.

If I post one more reply, then officially we are squabbling about semantics, which is an even more pitiable form of squabbling. It's your poll; do whatever you want.
I voted JT and EJ. They aren't necessarily my favorite artists among the choices, but have the greatest combinations of good repertoire and potentially entertaining live show.

LADY GAGA HAD A MOTHER F*CKING CASTLE AS HER STAGE SETUP.

^^^And all I notice is the number of smartphone screens in the audience. What have we become?
I'm sure Lady Gaga would have a very interesting stage show, in the way that GWAR has an interesting stage show. But that only counts for half. IMO, the utter mediocrity of her actual music (which actually counts for more) puts her well below JT or EJ, and others on the ballot as well.

This surprises me. Most people don't consider Gaga's music to be mediocre. Weird, but not mediocre.
How would you rank this group in terms of quality of music?

Hmm, interesting question. Well, while insisting that this is of course PURELY MY OPINION, and based solely on quality of music as you said, and conceding that some of these artists I have barely listened to...
