I have pit to ATL and some seats for Brooklyn. I will absolutely be dressing up - more costume, less formal. But certainly glitter, sequins, and feathers will be involved.
I so wanted to get Brooklyn tickets, but have CLE and Columbus, and want to do Coach, so Brooklyn was pushing it. Have you been to Barclays yet? Is it a good venue?

I'll be there. I'm thinking it's going to be grossly undersold because the venue map has the upper arena seats now unavailable and only every other seat row on sale down below (I'm assuming to accomodate those being moved down from upstairs.) There's also a student ID offer available at the ticket window for $20 seats (I'm assuming the cheapest: regularly 27.50) with a limit of 12 per valid ID. They're practically giving them away like that!! Dan Deacon & Kid Koala should make for nice bonuses as well.
I have a feeling that they overestimated their popularity. Their Boston/Providence area show, it looks like half the tickets are still available. Should have picked a smaller venue, like say the DCU Center in Worcester (capacity 7500)

I'll be in Louisville too. It sucks they didn't sell more, but at the same time, I have floor tickets. So that not being sold out means I can get pretty damn close. Definitely a pro for me, but Arcade Fire might not be at the "selling out arenas" portion of their career yet.

I thought about going to the louisville show, but I don't want to drive from lexington on a weeknight and don't dig the dressup thing

Wow, it’s a bummer that they are having such a hard time selling tickets. I heard tickets can even be bought using groupon. Guess they are not as popular outside of California.

They closed of the top of the bowl at Consol Energy Center in Pittsburgh and there are still plenty of seats available here too. It is a shame, but I was surprised they chose Pittsburgh as a tour stop. The indie scene really isn't that popular here where someone like Arcade Fire could fill up/sell out the biggest arena in town.
I'm excited because I only have to travel 45 minutes to the show,(I thought I was definitely going to have to drive to Columbus) but if I was them or their manager I would have went with smaller arenas in the midwest or just hit select cities
really looking forward to the show tonight! Cant wait to hear the new songs live! Despite the poor ticket sales, I'm hoping the louisville crowd brings it!

I'm going to be there tonight, though I'll be late. I have a charity event I committed to a while back. I'll miss the openers (sad) but I should be there for all of Arcade Fire's set.
My Body is a Cage (Stripped down. Center of crowd. Reflektor Flashbulb Eyes Power Out Joan of Arc The Suburbs The Suburbs Continued Tunnels Keep the Car Running No Cars Go Ready to Start Afterlife Orpheus Haiti Sprawl 2
Normal Person (kicked ass) Rebellion The Last Time (Rolling Stones) Here Comes the Night Time Wake Up
Really, really great show. Afterwards, Kid Koala spun for like 20 minutes while people danced. Well worth the money. Was probably 15 rows back center floor. Lot of fun.
Awesome setlist. LOVE "Normal Person" to start the encore. That tune is quickly working its way to the upper echelon of AF songs. Songs in general actually.
How did they get from this "b-stage" area to the main stage, and vice versa? Seems like there was some switching going on throughout the show.
HIGHLY recommend anyone who is cranking some tunes right now to go to www.thecurrent.org/listen and blast it -- the Minneapolis show is being streamed live in pristine quality! And these grooves are sounding DAMN GOOD
Just back from the Minneapolis show. It was excellent. I would rate it just a notch below the 2011 Bonnaroo show which is no criticism as that is one of my all time favorite shows. I'm not a huge fan of the new album compared to the previous three but I liked the new songs better live and there was a nice mix of new and old. Anyone interested should definitely check out a show on the tour if you have the chance.

I'm not sure that point will ever - or should ever - come. As they have gotten bigger, they have made their music more esoteric, more bloated, and less catchy. There won't be, like, a precipitous fall, but they are rapidly approaching their ceiling, if they haven't hit it already
They had a groupon a few weeks ago here in Cleveland for 50% off tickets. They were pretty good seats too. The first 10 rows of the lower bowl, just above the floor. I was so close to buying tix a few times because we loved their Roo show in 2011 but I'm not really digging this new album. Hubby didn't care about going that much either so I passed on the groupon.

I agree. AF is still one of my top 5 bands in the world. After The Suburbs and winning the Grammy, I thought they would have a U2 type career and be the biggest indie band of their era.
Depending on their next 2 albums, I could see My Morning Jacket, Vampire Weekend, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Arctic Monkeys, Phoenix and a few others with a chance to be the defining band of their era.
I'm not sure there is going to be a 'defining band' of this era, honestly. Phoenix and the Yeah Yeah Yeahs both turned in utterly uninteresting albums last year. While AM was good, Arctic Monkeys haven't really demonstrated a lot of depth or versatility (and were playing clubs in major cities last year to boot). I'm not sure what MMJ could do with their next album that would help them break through the apparent barrier they've hit - it's awfully hard to break out on your 7th album in your 16th or 17th year as a band, especially when you don't write immensely catchy singles.
Vampire Weekend is the one band there that might have a decent shot, given their songcraft - and that Koenig has finally started to expand his worldview - but I think it's still a bit hard to look at a band like VW and say that they will be the 'definitive voice' of rock when they spent their first two albums not saying a damn thing of consequence.

Holy doodle! All of this is making me so so excited to see them next Thursday. We couldn't decide on costumes so we're just going with formal wear. I think I'm going to douse myself in glitter as well.
Now if you'll excuse me, I'm going to go on an overnight drunk, and in 10 days I'm going to set out to find the shark that ate my friend and destroy it. Anyone who wants to tag along is more than welcome.

Goin to see them in Cleveland and Im beyond excited. I heard they covered Prince a few nights ago. Is anyone going along with the Dress Up request? Because that is going to be so much fun! Anyone been to the early shows have some stories?

I'd murder to see them cover Controversy, but it's likely they only did it because they were in Minneapolis.
