Does anyone have info on the album presale? Ticketmaster says the presale starts tomorrow, 11/19, at 10am but I haven't received an e-mail from AF about it yet...

They sent out an email tonight. If you didn't get it, it should be the same code from the Halloween show

Hi, driver, can you pull over? I'd like to get off the Pretentious Express.
The headline makes it seem a lot more pretentious. It's not like they're gonna throw people out if they don't dress up. They just want to enhance the experience by making the audience part of the show so they're asking people to cooperate. I wish more artists would have this kind of interaction with their audience.
Aw, that was quick. It's not like I said Reflektor sucks or anything, they're just becoming a very pretentious band, or maybe it's just Win Butler. But I think you're being mislead in thinking it's not required:
They clearly have an idea of what they want to force the crowd to look like.
And this person said it much better than I could have:
Trying to force otherwise ordinary rock shows into the special category strikes me as presumptuous—an attempt to reinforce the band’s status as capital-A Artists. But Arcade Fire is no longer an indie darling playing intimate general-admission venues: They’re releasing albums that top pop charts and playing arenas named for the likes of Verizon, Pepsi, and Comcast. Asking attendees to dress up might seem to restore an air of specialness to unspecial tour stops at unspecial concrete behemoths that double as ice rinks and basketball courts—but nothing about a routine date in an arena decked out in corporate branding is arty.
Look, I don't dislike the band, I just think they're starting to let this sh*t go to their heads a bit and should reel it back in.

I disagree but I understand where you're coming from. I stand by what I said about it being a fun idea to include the audience in the show (even if it's in a commercial arena). Also, when I hear about even 1 person being tossed out for not dressing up, I'll change my attitude towards the whole idea. For now, I think we shouldn't take this more seriously than necessary.

That tweet is from September about one of their "special shows" (or whatever you want to call it) at the Salsatheque in Montreal. I can't imagine they'll be kicking out people of 15,000-20,000 person venues for not dressing up.

Thanks for posting that for me. 100% correct.
Not to mention, half the people probably won't even be aware of the "dress code". Do people actually think they would turn their fans away for that? Or what about the people who don't own a suit? Kick them out!!

lol.
There's a Party City down the road from the Barclay's Center, I assume they'll direct them there to buy a pumpkin costume or some sh*t.
Album pre-order is individual but ArcadeFire.com presale code IS "reflektor"
Go buy!
Just figured this out myself and was coming to post it as well. Louisville, tour opener, floor seats HERE I COME! (just need to get together a costume now but 3 months should be enough time to do that)
