I got Bloodborne this week - easily the best game yet for the PS4. Vicar Amelia is kicking my butt, though. You will love it if you enjoyed Dark Souls.
I play and stream Bloodborne and Dark Souls regularly. Feel free to add me for co op or pvp.

I will add you - I am early in the game currently building up my stats to battle Vicar Amelia.

I am completely obsessed with this game - I think I just lack two chalice dungeones and the true ending on my first play through. I'm level 75 or so. Have you beat it? Easily, the best game on the PS4.

Yeah i'm on New Game ++ now. One more playthrough and ill have the platinum trophy. Amazing game.

Does beating the game affect the chalice dungeons? I would like to do the true ending and start NG, but I'm afraid it will mess up my chalice dungeons I've been working on beating. My goal is platinum... maybe I will get there some day.

No, it doesn't. I was worried about the same thing, but the chalice dungeons don't level with your character or your progress in the game. The deeper you go into the chalice dungeons, the harder they get. Have you gotten through the Defiled Chalice dungeons yet?

And yes, your progess in the dungeons will carry over to NG+

I just looked it up and I must not be as far into the Chalice dungeons as I thought... I have beat 6 and am currently on Lower Pthumeru Root Chalice trying to fight Rom.
He is rough in that confined space!!! He's the first Chalice foe that I've had an issue with. He wasn't all that easy out in the ocean, though.

Yeah i beat Rom in the story on my second try. Took me 7-8 tries to beat him in the chalice dungeon. I'm trying to get through the Defiled Chalice now. SO annoying. Your health is cut in half for every layer of the dungeon. The layer 2 boss has killed me in 1 hit maybe 10 times now.

That sucks - especially without something like a shield.
I've got my axe up to x10 and using fire paper so hopefully I can beat Rom eventually. I may not get a chance to play any this week so it will give me time to strategize. This game definitely requires patience.

You should use bolt paper against Rom. He's one of the few bosses that's weak against it. And im sure you know how much of a bitch his magic attacks are in the chalice dungeon... When he casts the spell that comes at you from the air, dodge TOWARDS it. I know it sounds weird, but it worked for me.

I decided to take a break from Rom... and beat the game the first time with a "true ending" (eating the three chords). NG has gone by much quicker... I've made it to Micolash and he is strangely the one giving me the most problems. Any time I try to coop, they die on me in the first half of the battle.
I'm around level 108. I may try to level up some and then attempt him again.

I finally reached Platinum on Bloodborne last week - that game is so outstanding! I have Witcher 3, but I can't stop playing Bloodborne enough to even start it. It has so much replay value. I hope they release the DLC soon.

I am loving the witcher 3 at the moment. I'm about 25 hours in, it is a must buy for any fan of RPGs. I am also enjoying mortal combat x, if you like the older ones you will probably love this one as well. It is also probably the best game graphics wise for next gen consoles thus far. The Smite beta on xbone is ok but id recommend waiting for the finished version. And keep an eye on it, because it could be the first successful Moba on a console

I can't wait - I am glad the original creator is working on this one, too. I could tell his absence in DS2. I am ready for some Bloodborne dlc, too.
I've tried to play through Dark Souls 2 so many times now and I just can't get into it. I always end up going back to the first one. The fact that DaveControl compares Dark Souls 3 to the original one within the first 2 minutes of that video has me EXTREMELY excited. Can't wait.

Dark Souls 2 just isn't fun - it's missing all of the fun and beauty of Dark Souls. It looks kinda cheesy at the beginning, too. I got about halfway through it and went back to Bloodborne. That's two times I've attempted it and gave up. Lol The PS4 version didn't really add anything either... except it's a little more challenging.

I need to retract my previous post - some friends of mine told me to play DS2 as a sorcerer and I have to say... it's much more fun than the typical power/strength/sword build I usually do. I am at the Iron Keep now and I have enjoyed it much more than my previous attempts. I still wouldn't put it up there with DS1, DS, or BB though.

I've spent thousands of hours on demon souls and dark souls and have yet to cast a single spell, haha. ill give it a try.
