Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
I was serious, by the way, how many of you would be interested in coming to Asheville, Halloween weekend Oct. 31-Nov. 2? I'm really sad the festival isn't happening anymore, but I think it would be great if we all could still get together.
You have a replacement. Now we just gotta convince everyone to come to Raleigh.
Hopscotch was happening regardless, bruh bruh. I am thinking on FFF seriously. MOEMS has been the only thing that has held me back from it for the last two years. Also, PLANE RIDE, MOTHERFUCKERS!
I found this interesting though: "So, after four years of considerable investment and hard work, we’ve decided to put Mountain Oasis on hold, while we pursue some exciting opportunities elsewhere."
I guess I'm super jaded and took it to mean things they already have going on, or have revamped (Big Ears). Not anything new.
I'll be thoroughly shocked if Big Ears lasts past this year again, honestly.

If we're able to, we'd love to go to Asheville sometime in the fall and do something inforoo-related. Appease the loss a little. We can still catch some shows, too, I'm sure.

First the City of Asheville cancels Bele Chere... a 30 year old fest that happens downtown annually. They said businesses downtown suffered due to the closure of downtown for 4 days (even though I've never seen the bars so full). I assume those businesses were still counting on MOEMS money. Now those businesses are really going to suffer... Good job Asheville.
Oh, and if everyone still wants to come to Asheville in the fall- might I suggest we all meet up for Christmas Jam? Happens every year in the civic center... hosted by Warren Haynes himself! Its a little pricy for a one off, but the money goes to charity!
Moogfest 2011 was one of my favourite festival experiences ever, and the only city fest I've attended that really had that camping fest vibe. As I'm sure others will attest, Asheville is the perfect setting for a festival, and Halloween the perfect weekend.
Their lineups always had everything I thought Bonnaroo was lacking - and even though I'm now on the other side of the world, I was still hoping I might someday return. It's one of a very small handful of festivals worldwide that I would buy a ticket for without knowing the lineup... alas, no more.

Yeah, count us in for a meet-up sometime in the fall. If we are moving around that time, we won't make it, but for now, absolutely hell yes to visiting Asheville and hanging. When you guys decide a weekend, let me know! so I can make a reservation.
Nothing would make me happier then to plan a fall Inforoo Panda meetup in Asheville. I would do anything to make this happen.
There were so many things that made MOEMS the perfect festival for me, but it being located so close to home, during the school year, made it easy for me to do. FFF & Bear Creek, as much as I would LOVE to attend, are realistically not possible for me for several more years.

I'm thinking that for this year. Maybe something new in 2015 but not 2014
Honestly, I bet if we formed a group and started doing some bookings we could work our way up to that. We clearly have a lot of time on our hands for music.

After their awesome lineup last year, I had decided to take the plunge to go this year and then this happens...WTF???? I mean, SERIOUSLY? I could understand if last year's lineup had sucked balls or something but this is a shocker to me.

That's probably why, honestly. From the sounds of it, they didn't do so hot with ticket sales.

Did it ever sell out last year?
I think it was their best year of the four but still fell short of what they expected it to be.
This really is shocking news, especially after seeing last year's lineup.
I never made it out to MOEMS, but it was definitely something that was alluring.
I'd be curious to know how far off they were from being profitable last year. Perhaps their business model required them to scale up slightly, and Asheville wasn't able to accommodate? Pure, wild speculation of course, would love to know the full story.

Can we have Skinny Puppy? And, Darkside again please.

I am good friends with a guy who does booking here in Knoxville. He works for a company other than AC, who books a few other local venues. I'll at least throw the suggestion at him...

Seriously, I have always wondered why Inforoo hasn't done somethig like that? The Gantry would play for sure and NoAge could do something as well. I guess it is a pipe dream.

Dangit, I am so bummed. Moogfest 2011 (pre-MOEMS) was how I got started on Inforoo so this festival (and its reincarnation) means a lot to me. Bawwwww! :-(
