Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
I'm doing all I can to keep myself from spiraling into a deep depression here. So, if enough people can meet up in Asheville anyway, we can book this place.
This was becoming my group's Bonnaroo, since most of us don't attend year after year... Does this make Roo more of a possibility for me, now? I guess so, yeah, by default, but I'm not completely awe inspired by the lineup this year... also opens up the door for Hopscotch, finally, since the two were too close together for me to manage, at least at the time. Not enough time to make serious plans for Big Ears (which kills me, regardless of this), Moogfest is still a faint possibility, but I know I won't be able to get all five days off for this, nor would I be able to afford the overall ticket price and lodging in such short notice (still, paying the $200 night pass and just going up there the nights Kraftwerk play would be worth it, I think).
Oh woe is me, right? I'm sure something will work out.
Sadly, I see Moogfest suffering the same fate after this year. They're scrambling to sell tickets.
This. They have put together a pretty amazing festival, but it's just not moving tickets like it should.
I truly believe that Moog's pricing structure should take the brunt of the blame if the festival goes belly up. The "early Bird" tickets were priced at $200, before the first lineup announcement. That is steep considering no one had a great grasp on what artists they'd be booking, other than "it should be pretty good". I think they would have sold significantly more tickets pre-lineup if they at least tiered the early bird pricing from $150 then up to $200.
The lack of sales pre-lineup really shows considering they've had 2 $99 full ticket flash sales; a slap in the face to those who bought fully priced tickets, IMO.

This really sucks. Moogfest started the Fall after I moved from Boone (Western NC) to Knoxville, so going to Asheville every October to stay with my friends from App was my way of reminding myself how much I love the mountains in Autumn. I've been to every Moogfest/MOEMS and I'll be doing Moogfest this Spring. I wasn't exactly happy with the AC/Moog split, but when I heard that it meant festivals in Asheville were happening bi-annually, I was really pumped.
Unfortunately, that is no longer the case. I'd be shocked in Moogfest lasted past this year in its current form, too. I think our only hope is that their mutual failures allows for the rift between AC and Moog to heal.
However, I'll probably go to Asheville that weekend to stay with my friend like always, so I'm down to meet up if everyone else on here is going!
That sucks! Won't the DTI understand that since MOEMS has been cancelled? And, you just booked a few days ago.
Tom is too fancy for the DTI.
Correct. And there's a lesson to be learned from that. The lesson here is even though I wear fancy pants, I should always make sure to have fancy underpants on as well.

I feel like Clark Griswald today, demanding that we have Christmas anyway and be the merriest bunch of assholes and have the hap hap happiest time since Bing Crosby tap danced with Danny fucking Kaye.
We're all in this together. This is a full-blown, four-alarm holiday emergency here. We're gonna press on!
What a bummer! This seriously has me all kinds of depressed. Last year was my first Moog/MOEMS, and it was just amazing! The city, the fest, and all of you guys easily made it one of the best fests I have attended. It was also the first time I attended any kind of Inforoo get together/brunch, which makes it extra sad since I won't be able to attend Roo this year and see all your beautiful faces...I hope to see some of you at other fests through out the year. There def has to be some kind of Inforoo meet up at Coachella now. I hope this festival makes a return in 2015.
