I believe I could enjoy a Lady Gaga show if she was a headliner (would probably rather have someone else) or ... if something else I really wanna see is right after, I can be down with some Monster Mash drawing others away.

I like the Horn's idea of her getting a late night Which spot. I wouldn't buy a ticket to see her, but would probably check her out if she was included in a fest lineup. And with the late night spot I'll have other options.

I don't listen to her but I'd be okay with a Lady GaGa headliner. She puts on a hell of a live show that actually does have Bonnaroo vibes, in an extended sort of way. I might show up for a song or two to see her pop out of an ostrich egg wearing a steak suit... you know, high art shit.
She is not a Which Stage act, that's one thing I feel pretty positive about. I would love to see her on the farm, personally. She's an entertainer, and I go to roo to be entertained.

I'm torn really. She's on a bit of a slide of a career-wise, and I don't think she's that much more popular now than R Kelly's comeback was last year. Then again, once a headliner always a headliner so who knows.

That's where we disagree, I think she's 10x as big right now as R Kelly was last summer. While I agree she's not at the zenith of her career at this point, she's still selling out stadiums in minutes, which is something he does not command.

Fair point. Checking now her tour is selling better than I thought. If she's in the top three on the lineup this place will implode.

I don't think so. She seems to have her fair share of enthusiasts on here. Me for one. It's about damn time we get a female headliner. If it can't be Beyonce, then let it be Lady Gaga.

I wouldn't even say she's in my top 10 picks for a headliner. But I wouldn't mind if she was. I would probably enjoy her more than some of the ppl we've gotten in the past like Jack Johnson or Kings of Leon.
Honest reaction. But hey, no personal attacks, no insults. That's the beauty of music. It allows for everyone's personal tastes. I once heard Dave Van Ronk saying he learned Dylan's Dont think twice It's alright while snowed in a cabin with only deer meat, cutty sark whiskey, and one Dylan album. While I was thinking "that sounds like a decent weekend" my wife says "that must be what hell is like". So there you go. I'll still be at Roo, I'll just bring mouthwash

Nope, no personal attacks or insults. Your contribution that Lady Gaga elicits a reaction so strong that you feel physically ill really adds much to the discussion and also is very polite towards her fans.
This past year, I learned much about Bjork, someone that I really misunderstood and didn't appreciate at all (I had a strong negative reaction toward). But, I never once went into the thread to tell everyone she made me wanna puke, cause, well, out of respect for her fans. Her fans ended up teaching me quite a bit in the end.

I think she could be on which late night. She would probably not be as big of a draw at Bonnaroo as she is on her solo dates and I'm not sure her major fan base would drop $350 to go to Roo just for her. I think it's comparable more to NIN playing Which in '09. Wasn't that one of their final shows before an announced hiatus? Anyhow, it wouldn't bother me if she closes What one night.
