I just love peoples vision of what a Lady GaGa fan look like, it's almost hilarious.
I can assure you that my husband doesn't look like a sterotypical Gaga fan (he is a 35 year old contractor with an unparalleled commitment to all things metal, punk, death, whatever, bluegrass) but he loves Gaga. He's thrilled to be seeing her for his birthday this year, but he won't dress up with me and my nieces for the occasion. He'll probably wear a Metallica shirt instead.
I'm torn really. She's on a bit of a slide of a career-wise, and I don't think she's that much more popular now than R Kelly's comeback was last year. Then again, once a headliner always a headliner so who knows.
That's where we disagree, I think she's 10x as big right now as R Kelly was last summer. While I agree she's not at the zenith of her career at this point, she's still selling out stadiums in minutes, which is something he does not command.
Let's all take a moment to realize that, by this logic, Kanye would not be Lady Gaga status either.

I'm a GaGa fan, and that comes from a guy who, in the 90s, thought if you didn't like Pavement, Sebadoh and the "Kids" soundtrack you didn't like good music. I've obviously grown to embrace a lot of different musical styles since then. I'd like to see her on the farm, just in a spot where all the non-GaGa fans could go see something else.

The European dates have been booked, quite a few were already booked somewhere last year, proven by some countries having already given away tickets, and it seems like they are about to be announced! Universal Music Netherlands already confirmed the show here is also taking place in 2014
So...she will probably be in Europe in the fall. This clears the rumors about Europe shows in June. Still hoping for a Bonnaroo appearance.

This is just wrong. It's popular opinion that Artpop is "garbage" but I feel like like it's quite a good listen. "Do What U Want" is IMO one of her better songs.

IMO, it's leagues better than Born This Way. People just aren't drinking the Lady Gaga Kool-aid anymore and tend to talk about her negatively. ARTPOP is a good album. And it would be a good show.

To each his own I guess. I liked the Fame monster, I couldn't get into any tracks on this album, they all came off as over the top. Her vocals weren't even that great imo

Lady Gaga is going to go down as one of the Most Influential Female Pop Stars' of all time. Her debut album was amazing and ArtPop is fucking amazing. She would be higher than Jack White, or at least should be. She is a legend.

Nice! Her last couple albums were kinda eh in comparison to her first two, but hopefully having spent the year doing what she wants to do singing with Tony Bennett will have recharged her artistically.

Nice. Cheek to Cheek was pretty decent but honestly I hope she doesn't do another jazz album.
Hope she tours this year, too - I missed the artRave tour and while I wasn't a fan of Artpop, those shows still looked like a blast.
