I thought I was an idiot or that I had a misprint or something because I forgot that the record starts off from the inside going out (instead of outside going in, like normal). So I kept getting this weird repeating sound. Finally got it. First song is great. Can't wait for this stuff live.
(1) Damon Albarn (2) Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds (3) King Khan & His Shrines (4) Ty Segall (5) Ms Lauryn Hill (6) Darkside (7) Kanye (8) Janelle Monae (9) Goat (10) Meshuggah.
I know it was mentioned briefly at the beginning of this thread, but yes, indeed, Jack Lawrence, aka Little Jack, the bassist of both The Dead Weather and The Raconteurs will be at Bonnaroo because he is also Dallas Green's touring bass player for City and Colour. They have no gigs prior to Bonnaroo, so there is a good chance he'll appear on stage Saturday night, which would be awesome!!
Also- go watch City and Colour Sunday!! I dig the heavy stuff Jack plays, i've seen the white stripes, raconteurs & the dead weather perform live and love it, but if you want to hear one of the smoothest voices & gut wrenching lyrics, check out City and Colour's set Sunday 6pm, This Tent!
Caption: The Rolling Record Store is headed to Bonnaroo! We'll be located in Centeroo next to the main merchandise tent. We have new coolers and tons of festival ready merch. Be sure to stop by! #chooglin #bonnaroo #thirdmanrecords
This is the first message board I've ever been on, the only reason I joined is because I love Bonnaroo and wanted to read and talk about it all year long.
Made the mistake of buying records at Roo a few years ago. They make cool looking art-pieces, but those suckers will never be playable.
I had a really cool spin-art thing on a record from the Fuse barn but that melted when my ex decided to leave it on the dashboard of the car at night. Come morning time it was all sorts of messed up.

This album fucking kills. It's only getting better. "Alone In My Home", despite the lyrical content, sounds soooo fucking bouncy and wonderful and I cannot get it outta my head. "Would You Fight For My Love" is soooo fucking intense -- an instant Jack White classic climaxing in severe piano-pounding like all great Jack White epics do. Man, not a dud to be found.
I'm catchin' four shows in a two week span this summer, but man I wish I spread 'em out because these epic shows from the early leg of the tour are killin' me!
