Especially considering all of the speculation last year that the Tennessee resident would fill in for Mumford & Sons, I feel like Mr. White III would be a pretty solid bet for Bonnaroo '14. Well, solid bet or not, the man puts on a damn good show and would lead a hell of a Superjam.
And instead of saying all of your goodbyes - let them know you realize that life goes fast - It's hard to make the good things last-you realize the sun doesn't go down - It's just an illusion caused by the world spinning round
With the dead weather putting out new music I expect to see them this summer
I hadn't heard that the Weather was planning on making new music.. Where'd ya hear that?
Is there more to come from the Dead Weather? Yes there is. The plan is to record and release two-song sets until 2015, at which time the Dead Weather will release a full album that contains these singles plus many more album-only tracks. It's a unique long-term plan for new music. The songs will also be released digitally, but not until Vault packages have been dispatched to subscribers. The goal is that physical copies are out there first.
While I loved the dead weather a few years , in fact I still listen to that set often ...I don't except to see them this year . I'd love jack white but I know Allison mosshart was not a fan and I don't think jack likes that type of setting too much they've both said as much many times In the past . I'm sure he'd play at night as a headliner tho .
Kills late night would be fun barring anything else good (probably )

I would love to see Jack but won't get my hopes up this year. I think every festival in the world had him last year and somehow Bonnaroo missed out, so I won't hope for it this year and will be super excited if it does happen. I wouldn't mind seeing Dead Weather or Jack solo, but the Raconteurs show in 2008 ranks very close to my top Bonnaroo show ever, so I wouldn't mind a repeat.

the fact he played EVERYWHERE last year makes him more likely this year, given too booking history

Don't forget he'll be at Governor's Ball, so he'll be out on the road.

Has anyone else noticed that the tower in the BLAM logo looks exactly the same as the Third Man Records tower logo... not so subtle hint? I can only hope. I need Jack to be there.. if no Jack and no Outkast... Governors Ball it is....but I hope it wont come to that!!

Jack White III
What else do I need to say?
Gotta wonder if he's got any tricks up his sleeve (although I'm not getting my hopes up too high). Is it safe to assume he'll be bringing the Peacocks and/or Buzzards to Bonnaroo?

I'd love to see him have a couple guests come out. I assume he'll play his typical 1.5 hour set but would be pretty awesome to see him go up to 2 and pull out a few surprises/unique moments.
The artists we'll be seeing at Bonnaroo is just unreal and Jack White is no exception. I'm so pumped for this! Setlists look like he plays a good mix of solo, raconteurs, and white stripes songs. What an absurdly good lineup.
10/19/14-Phantogram
11/29/14-New Politics, Bad Suns
4/17/15-Hippo Campus, Night Riots, The Mowglis
5/1/15-Penn State Movin' On Music Festival-New Politics, Passion Pit, Big Gigantic, Big Sean
6/11/15-6/14/15-Bonnaroo!
6/21/15 - Paul McCartney
6/27/15-Halsey, Imagine Dragons
I'm heavily considering waiting in line for the pit for Jack's set. I never thought there'd be an artist so personally amazing that I would want to miss so many others, but this might be it.
I think insider just considers the top 6 to be headliners, so she might have just meant that Lionel Richie will be in what we would call the pre-headliner slot, and then JW will be unopposed. I would really like a LN What set for Mr. White, but this year's going to have too good of a late night as it is; I don't want to have to deal with those conflicts lol.
This is the first message board I've ever been on, the only reason I joined is because I love Bonnaroo and wanted to read and talk about it all year long.
Even better is that it's a full band of super-talented musicians doing a version of these songs. So it may not sound exactly like the White Stripes but has a fuller sound. Can't wait for this set.
